Listen… Heated is the best single choice but from my very first listen of the leak… I was in bed in a hotel in Okinawa and almost crying when I heard those Street Fighter beats. You don’t understand. It’s the best thing she could ever have made for me and it fills me with joy

 

Seeing it take off I want them to keep going with playlisting and see if anything happens. Anything can be a hit in 2023.

you not using half of selftitled doesn’t make it a weak album let alone better than an album full of forgettable and cheap sounding fillers, and the universal acclaim (only one of them got) agrees 

IASF gets a weird amount of hate and I do not rank it last but calling it better than ST is crazy

Most albums by pop girls are acclaimed now compared to what they were in the 2000s. I promise you if ST had dropped in 2008, it would not have gotten universal acclaim.

IASF was necessary in her discography but it really is last place. You all do too much as if it doesn’t have That’s Why You’re Beautiful and Ego though

 

To think we went from IASF to her former magnum opus 4 in one era. And imagine … one second it’s 2009 and you’re hearing Halo everywhere and next it’s 2023 and a song like America Has A Problem is spending its 23rd week at #1

Now that I'm thinking about it, 4 really succeeded in getting all that acclaim in 2011 when poptimism wasn't a thing.

IASF gets a poor reputation (as an album) in retrospect b/c everything after is so much better. But I don’t remember any general dislike of the album during its actual era.

The album is horrid and full of filler, but it was truly necessary in elevating her into the star she is today. Everyone needs that one signature SMASH album, and that’s what the album is for her
