it is rather interesting that for a "renaissance" theme beyoncé has chosen a pretty digital, computer, mono-spaced typeface...this could also point to the tech experiences alluded to above.

 

with beyoncé, every element means something and her design department (imo) is really good. I know my BEYONCÉ typographic writeup went semi-viral on ATRL here and was made fun of, but type choices are very considered. Designers absolutely spend hours deciding the right choice and it has a lot to do with what the project is all about, and how the typeface represents the themes/goals.

i do not like the name "Moon Walking" as a title, i won't lie. I could tolerate it as "moonwalking" but even still that's only a minor aesthetic change and not enough to give the single the razzle dazzle of titles like Haunted, Partition, PYCM, Black Parade etc
