People thought Anyone was her comeback single but it wasn’t even a single. Then she wasted more momentum with all the random songs and singles she released until now

im sure if Dua never had her TTH residency and radio payola for example DSN wouldn’t have been the smash it was in the US. In order for the geepee to actually stream a song and like it they need to know it exists by Given decent playlisting and it had nothing   (I love dua btw)

 

If it had great playlisting and still Bombed like Selena’s Selfish Love (#1 on TTH + cover) then fair enough but actually give the song a chance to bomb  nnnn

 

if the rumours are True her label are going bust soon anyways so hopefully artists like her can move to labels who will actually invest in her.

It's not a good song. This radio-tailored pop soul Bond theme sound is played out to death, would've been cute in the first 50 Shades soundtrack but it's tired in 2021

When she performed Anyone at the Grammys, they should've released this instead that weekend with the video and a radio deal and she should've perfomed this at the Grammys instead. That would've been the comeback people were expecting - but I do understand she wasn't ready to drop an album then and all

That sucks. The song deserves so much better.

OT: this song wasn’t single material. Most of the songs on her new album don’t sound like hits. It’s a pretty good album though and hopefully something other than the Ariana collab charts.

I know, but it's the same concept in the core. They released a lead single that underperformed, so the rollout was cancelled until they could came up with something better and, a year later, the new single ended up doing worse than the previous one.
