Dancing With The Devil debuts at #2

She should call up Xtina for a remix to bump the song up to number 1 ala Fall In Line.

Didnt I Love Me debut in the Top 20 just last year? :deadbanana2:

Her team really ruined her comeback with this rollout :rip:

This reminds me of Smile by Katy where the initial comeback song (that should’ve been the lead) debuted top 20 and then when they finally released the album a year later the actual lead struggled to chart

It's so ironic. Also happened to:

- Fergie with L.A. Love (#27 - 2014) and MILF $ (#34 - 2016)

- Gwen with Baby don't lie (#46 - 2014) and Used to love you (#52 - 2015)

- Jennifer Lopez with Live it up (#60 - 2013) and I luh ya papi (#77 - 2014).

This will not age well considering she might have 2 entries next week.

Could've charted without the album bomb of that rapper. Anyway, hopefully it can chart new week.

The song had 0 playlisting, no music video or radio deal so I'm not shocked.

That was an article from 2019 though

Demi could have definitely have debuted at #1 if she had released a proper comeback single about her issues in 2020, but momentum was lost when she released Anyone (which did chart on The Hot 100).

Then obviously even more momentum was lost since she released other songs after and didn’t release her proper comeback single until 2021

I mean , if Selena did it , Demi could do it too.

She clearly cant after 8 tries for lead singles the past year with a huge controversial documentary and music video , grammy performance, super bowl national anthem etc

Stop bringing up selena on a demi thread. That's off topic. We are here to discuss demi only

7 spots on the charts is not the same as 90+ spots.

OT: this song wasn’t single material. Most of the songs on her new album don’t sound like hits. It’s a pretty good album though and hopefully something other than the Ariana collab charts.

I was just comparing since they are 2 ex-acts that have similar careers

They dont have similar careers at all

- Selena is an a-list celeb, demi isn't

- Selena has a #1 song and her last 3 albums went #1, demi doesn't have a #1 song and album

Just to name some (there's a lot) but I wont post them since this is a demi thread. Lets not go off topic

Demi should release the ariana collab since its the one which had a lot of streams on first day. They can shoot the mv and it might save the era

Debuting in lower half of 100 and probably charting for one week is hardly not aging well. The second hand embarrassment, if some demi stan bumps this thread for #73 debut :skull:

:ahh: the delusion

yass success for indie artist demi. would've been #1 if it weren't for the 101 songs above it:clap3:

:rip:

The song is nothing special but I was expecting at least a debut in the Top 30 for Demi’s comeback lead single.

So now she has a #1 on the Bubbling Under (Fall In Line) and a #2 ! Queen ?
