before yall come for taylor, Japanese music market is still 80-90% physical, meaning people buying copies at the store, so with covid19 and this being digital format only, it is bounce to happen.

Not bad considering they're more physical based market. 

I think it's because JAPAN is not into "folk" sound..

People forget no one buys digital albums in Japan. Give it a few weeks

I wouldn’t call Spotify numbers fake in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Maleysia, India and Philippines where she broke album debut records or China digital sales which acknowledged by IFPI, GUINESS or Bilboard but you do you. 

 

Thankfully Folklore is smashing in all over Asia in Spotify and AM as well.
