Work was in 2016

Taylor’s soundtrack single did 190k in 2016 so...

OT: I despise Taylor but we not gon sit here and pretend any of our faves can sell 100k+ in 2019.

2016 and 2019 are way different. there's no way a rihanna single would do 100k+ first week in 2019.

they're still good numbers

LMAO at you thinking Rihanna can’t do 100K in a week in 2019 when she did more than that in a day in 2016, just a few years ago. Y’all always underestimate her and she always proves y’all wrong. She’s the biggest selling digital artist of all time, for ****’s sake.

I don't think you realize how much sales have catapulted in just 3 years...

During the gift card redemption period. Rihanna did it in January, the slowest month of the year.

Then again, Rihanna always releases quality singles as her leads.

Look did 200k on it's first day and now ME! is serving 133k first week so Rihanna is not safe either.

How is this possible when she outsold the entire top 100 of iTunes on Friday?? :deadbanana4: At least it'll do another 200k+ units with SPS

it's not about underestimating rihanna, it's about how digital sales are dead and buried

‘Look’ was a better song than this, let’s be real. It’s music video was also fantastic and it suited the theme of reputation well. “ME!” is trash. Video is good, but it doesn’t really tell a story. The GP can’t connect.

100k+ weeks in the past year:

Old Town Road: 124,000 April 20th
Shallow: 115,000 March 9th
In My Feelings: 115,000 July 28th / 104,000 Aug 4
NTLTC: 100,000 May 5

the last time a song did more than ME! was in January 2018....Perfect by Ed.

So she's going to have the biggest digital week in 16 months.

Shallow and Old Town Road (an urban song) both did 100K+ a few weeks ago. Taylor’s lead is just weak. If it was a better song, people wouldn’t mind spending $1.29 on it. She could’ve done at least 200K.

@hellocory I thought it was gonna do more than Kworb’s predictions? :bibliahh:

This doesn't include the physicals/vinyl redeeming downloads right?? Cause Kworb can't track them right??? A swiftie is using a tracker to count how much traffick sales are going on the website and she said about 50k. So I'm perched...

That’s if it doesn’t continue to drop in predictions. Hopefully it won’t, with the BBMAs being tonight. :fan:
