This Was 2014 (if you can't see) showcased critically acclaimed records by fka twigs, Miranda Lambert, Angel Olsen, St. Vincent, and Taylor Swift.

This Was 2015 featured Carly Rae Jespen, Grimes, Courtney Barnett, and Sleater-Kinney. (and some guy called Kendrick?)

I wouldn't want any of those albums re-rated (YET) for any new rates, because I respect these two so much.

But, say, a 2014 Makes The Woman with Ariana/Mariah/Kylie/Lana and the eminently cancellable Nicki and Azealia? That could work! Makes sense to me!

Or a 2015 with Adele (in her right year), Janet, Madonna, Bjork, and a fifth? Let's have that conversation!

We need Tinashe in 2014. Let's not have another rate where Kylie is there just to get wiped out in the first update.

Adele/Bjork/Janet/Jazmine/Lana/Madge - that's the 2015 lineup. I like it I like it (except for having to listen to Rebel Heart again...)

Oh really? We should def rate the winners of the first era, finally. I'm sure out to the first 300 rates there's multiple dupes. Which would be cool to see who's the best of the best.

The consistency of my absolute loathing for Jewels N Drugs, Swine, Perfume, and Roar is matched only by the consistency of your avatar.

But omg. @Michael is gone. Madonnas is gone. Superpower is gone. BoyOnBoyWonder is… probably wondering if I'm ever going to open bluesky and talk to him again. Konichiwa is gone. But I'm still standing.

I'm still seething over Yonce/Partition and Ghost/Haunted being separated. It's like asking an art critic to only pay attention to the top half of the Mona Lisa. It's like rating the featured artist's verse on a duet separately from the main artist's parts. It's like trying to solve a crossword and realizing there's no right answer. It's like something I'm gonna hold against Supa and whoever else made that decision even when I'm 85 years old and I can't even remember who 3 of the artists in this rate are.
