She's definitely better solo. I'm not a big Paramore fan either, but her first solo album was soooooo different (kinda indie pop) and I like most of it, especially Why We Ever.

Ego Death is more rock with a few punk/noise moments, but it's not really like Paramore either imo. My favorite songs are the more quiet, introspective moments: Negative Self Talk and I Won't Quit On You. Mirtazapine is maybe the most popular, but it's not my fav. I would say at least give her a chance, but if it's still not your thing, then oh well!
