Yeah he's been getting red updates at night (US time), but he always gets green updates in the morning. Didn't LWYMMD return to #1 for a few hours 2 nights ago? Anyways, he has a healthy lead right now so no worries. Had he released the music video this week, it would've done 130K+ easily

It's a good move, releasing a music video in the second week will slow down the sales drop.

Ugh..IKR I'm lowkey mad at sam for this, he could've easily took on Zayn, I mean he literally outsold him without one,  I hope it's not too late for the momentum..

whatever he is selling its still more than anybody else. And he's doing brilliantly on streaming too. And radio should be very good to him. A video to come and he has some hugely viewed videos. Hopefully the video will keep the song high 2nd week.

 

Sam is doing just fine. Numbers are relative where chart placings are concerned. Its not even one of his best or most commercial songs so Im well impressed. The public are still there for him, clearly.

That's what people were saying about Taylor when her numbers were shamed.  It's still more then anybody sold for the ENTIRE YEAR and more then anyone has sold in nearly two years.  She had record breaking streams and the people complaining and number shaming ignored her streams.  Those same people are praising Sam's tiny numbers the hypocrisy is real.  He's doing okay but nothing great at all.  The over the top praise (from people critical of Taylor) is funny.   

 

 

Nobody saying anything about Taylor at all besides she obviously still slaying the charts and streaming, but its still impressive for sam of what he's doing, especially when Taylor is releasing music very frequently in her current era, Also, you do realize it's only the first week right, yet doing more than most pop boys right now, He may not be smashing records but he sure as hell isn't flopping either...

The bigger the star, the bigger the expectations. Taylor is expected to do numbers similar to Adele. She is coming from the biggest era of her career (and also one of the biggest eras ever) and was expected to serve a hit with longevity, maybe even the biggest hit of her career. The problem is that GP is not here for LWYMMD, which is evident from the song bleeding on streaming and sales, and the radio support not being overwhelming. Most of the people here are just looking at the numbers and commenting them (most of the comments are very respectful), it's your right to read it as "shaming".

But if you think that Sam and Taylor should be treated as equals, then you're right, compared to her Sam is not doing that well.

Sam is holding up pretty nice compared to yesterday with him being dark red all round, As well as Taylor, these two will be the biggest sellers of the fourth quarter .

The fact that Taylor released ready for it? to immediately compete with the sales of LWYMMD kinda proves she doesn't care about the single sales.  She probably cares more about album sales.

Australia is very skeptical as well, because Taylor has always been huge in Australia, even in her first album sold a lot in that country, she about as popular as pink over here, but Sam will indeed outsell in the U.K. And possibly other countries too.

If she doesn't care then you shouldn't either. The problem is that releasing two songs that were received lukewarmy by the GP might hurt her with the album sales. What she needs is to release a smash song couple of weeks before the album and persuade more people that the album is worth buying.

 

Sam is doing great in the UK (as expected), but the big surprise for me is Pink at #2 on UK itunes.

At the start of the year I wasn't sure if she was gonna sell 1 million on the first week, but after Look's success I don't really doubt anymore.

 

I think she will do around 1.2m.
