Lorde's "Ribs" on Spotify: WW #176 (-11) 1.2M, US #55 (-2) 504k
not with that #1 on TTH, sis
-
Lorde - What Was That | Spotify Day 19: WW #138(+24) (1.35M), US #88(+6) (446k)
Quite frankly I didn't even know if it would do 2.8M its first day, let alone third day, so this is all a pleasant surprise still, especially since it's still #4 in the US with 1M+
-
Day 5 | Cowboy Carter: 38 million
I'm not gonna say these numbers aren't good, but given that there are *27 songs* on the album, and the nationwide "hype" that is always pushed on us about Beyonce, I don't find these numbers particularly incredible.

Britney Spears: Receipts | My Prerogative certified Silver in UK, new German certs
Should also be obviously noted the playlist reach too; Gaga has a label that tends to actually play the game with stuff like that. Britney's clearly doesn't

Spotify Day 6: Justin Timberlake's 'Everything I Thought It Was' 3.6M (+128k)
I mean, excluding Selfish, it's getting 2.6M streams for *17 songs* only 5 days after release. There's not much lower it can really go!
-
HDD: Ariana Grande 2x #1 100k, Kacey Musgraves #2 95k, Justin Timberlake #4 65k
i'm shocked he's even doing 60-65k tbh. those physicals must be saving him a bit, b/c those streams are ghastly

Spotify Day 6: Justin Timberlake's 'Everything I Thought It Was' 3.6M (+128k)
Jesus these #s are bad bad. 5.9M/4.8M first two days *globally*, not even US, when Selfish is already doing 1M of that.

I’m afraid my hair is thinning. HELP?!
Yep. Hims is good; if you use the foam + their daily pill together, and keep at it, it will at the bare minimum cease the thinning/losing, but most likely also help it grow back.

Lauren Jauregui drags Noah Schnapp
I don't even have a dog in this fight, but Lauren comes off like most of the Twitter folks who think they know more about this conflict than they really do, and act as if they are holier than thou to speak about it to everyone else. Really annoying. It's quite amazing how the same people who can't even be bothered to understand what goes on in US politics are suddenly always foreign policy experts!

Ariana Grande - "yes, and?"
Meh. The critics intro was so incredibly lame and cringe, the song is just okay. It doesn't really work as a whole "hit" at the press/media like other girls (i.e. Britney) bc in this instance, Ariana has actually done something wrong, and she's not the victim here. Also, not trying to hate, but why can she still not just open her mouth to sing? She never looks like she's actually properly mouthing the words.

Justin gives 2-word disclaimer before singing Cry Me a River in Vegas: No disrespect
It's kind of amazing the way his career has collapsed. From the epic draw of The 20/20 Experience just a decade ago, now literally nobody cares. The NSYNC single flopped, The Timbaland/Nelly Furtado song flopped, Man of the Woods flopped, and there's no excitement whatsoever for new music from him.

Susan Sarandon dropped by talent agency after pro-Palestine comments
this thread title is wrong. she wasnt dropped for "pro-palestine" comments. she was dropped for being anti-semitic

S Club announce US & Canada tour
hmm if New York did sell out then I can't imagine Philly was doing that horribly.

S Club announce US & Canada tour
Ugh, this sucks. Was gonna see them in Philly for the first time ever. The venue isn't even that big (like a few thousand I believe), so I wasn't expecting low ticket sales to be an issue. I wonder if that really was the case, compared to this "admin" issue, since they aren't rescheduling Philly or San Fran.

The Woman in Me Megathread | Out now | Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt bid for adaptation
The way she doesn't talk about the will.i.am song either (manjobi) makes me more convinced than ever that he probably came to her, knowing only a Britney collab could probably save his flopping solo projects, and she was like, sure you can use the vocals but I'm literally not gonna do anything else for it. It's clear she didn't care about the release at all. Granted, even with HMC, she really didn't post a ton about it, but her radio silence on MYB is telling. It's funny too how despite FF/BJ being meh for her, she clearly loves Work *****. I wonder how she feels about Pretty Girls.

The Woman in Me Megathread | Out now | Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt bid for adaptation
Yeah it seems she really has no love lost for not just Britney Jean but Femme Fatale too. I was dead at her even ignoring Scream and Shout when she mentioned the "one good song" she did with Will.i.am lol.

The Woman in Me Megathread | Out now | Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt bid for adaptation
You could also read between the lines and tell that she gave zero fucks about Britney Jean, and I do wonder if the vocal fuckery was maybe because she just wasn't into making it, and she honestly didn't care about it in the slightest, so she maybe didn't even care that Will and the team were screwing with the vocals. Or maybe she said **** it and some of the songs were just straight up unfinished. I wish she went into the Perfume video debacle too, I feel like there is a through line with Perfume, Make Me, etc. where her team clearly intervened with the videos compared to what her vision was.

The Woman in Me Megathread | Out now | Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt bid for adaptation
Also, the way she talked about how much fun she had making the Glory videos makes me think after all that it was completely her team who botched the original Make Me video and they are the reason it was scrapped.

The Woman in Me Megathread | Out now | Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt bid for adaptation
Yeah, I was kind of surprised that she talked about Adnan ('the photographer') in a not totally negative way, since it seems clear looking back that he was just with her for his own profile, but I guess she still likes what he 'represents' about that time, in that he let her be free. She really dragged Justin AND Jamie Lynn for filth every time she could. The bob comment took me out about Lynne too. It was nice to hear her talk about Blackout and Glory as projects she really cared about, and it's so interesting how she spoke so much about having that reinvigoration around 2016, since we all saw it in real time too.

TMZ: NSYNC, BSB & DC "not" doing '24 Super Bowl -> HDD: Usher to be announced soon
As much as it would be great to have NSYNC and Destinys Child, the overuse of these performers would be getting ridiculous. NSYNC's 2nd super bowl, Justins 4th, Beyonce's 4th, DCs 2nd, etc. It's too much. Give new people the spotlight.

Page Six: Britney Will Not Promote Her Upcoming Book
I wouldn't trust most outlets either, tbh. I would be weary that they were going to spin anything negatively or try and trip her up somehow.
