  4. to an atheist who says there's "no evidence" for God, i'd simply point to the resurrection of jesus here are four main reasons why i believe it actually happened: 1. jesus really died. pretty much every serious historian, even non-christian ones, agrees that jesus was crucified and died on the cross. it's one of the most well-documented facts about his life, mentioned in the bible and even by ancient writers like josephus and tacitus. 2. the empty tomb. the people who first reported finding the tomb empty were women. in that culture, women weren't considered reliable witnesses. if the disciples were making this up, they wouldn't have picked women as their key witnesses. that detail actually makes the story more believable. 3. the apostles' conviction. jesus' followers claimed they saw him alive after his death. they spent time with him, ate with him, and touched him over several weeks. they were so sure it was real that they were willing to be tortured and killed for it. people don't die for a lie they made up. and it wasn't hallucinations... group hallucinations don't happen, and you can't eat a meal or have long conversations with a hallucination. 4. paul's turnaround. paul was a hardcore enemy of the early christians. he persecuted them violently and even approved of the stoning of stephen. then, on his way to damascus, he suddenly became a christian after claiming he met jesus. he had zero to gain and everything to lose. the only thing that makes sense is that he really experienced something life-changing. as for the problem of evil "if god exists, why is there so much suffering?" here's my answer we live in a broken world because of sin. it's not supposed to be perfect. that's exactly why jesus came, to save us from our sins. one day he'll return and finally put an end to all evil. also, when someone says "bad things shouldn't happen," they're assuming there's a real standard of good and evil. but without God, where does that standard come from? in a purely material world, morality would just be personal opinions or feelings. there'd be no objective right or wrong. the idea of real morality actually points back to God as its source.
  5. if u can't handle my worst, u ain't gettin my best
  6. not bad at all... loved the belting during the chorus, sounded powerful... just a little more enunciation on the word "crash" cuz i couldn't hear the "sh" sound very clearly at the end of the word but other than that, pretty good !!

  19. an acquaintance offered me to go to his church and interact with all the people there and i can assure that my life has improved a lot since then. I can understand why you might consider it trolling tho. Religion has always been very discriminatory towards LGBT people so it's hard to believe that someone on this forum would support the bible or God, but i've come to realize that it can help you find peace, at least it did for me
  20. you'll find somebody... one thing i've learned with time is that there's someone for everyone out there... just remain patient... your significant other will come along when you least expect it
