  1. Confessions II is the most successful album/era by a woman in her 60s in the history of music...
  2. I Feel So Free Future Lovers One Step Away Bring Your Love Hot Sauce Everything Sorry Love Sensation Get Together Jump School Fragile Betrayal Let It Will Be How High L.E.S. Girl
  3. Meanwhile the Confessions II era is unprecedented territory and already the most successful, relevant and acclaimed era from a woman over 60 in music history. Madonna has more streams than every female artist pre-1990. Lady Gaga has more streams than Karol G. 1980s Madonna - 12b Whitney Houston - 8b Céline Dion - 7.5b Enya - 5.3b Kylie Minogue - 4.2b 2000s Taylor Swift - 128b Rihanna - 61b Nicki Minaj - 43b Lana Del Rey - 42b Lady Gaga - 37.8b (and 2k away from surpassed by Karol G)
  4. As far as I'm aware Roisin was cancelled just by her comments on puberty blockers. I haven't kept up with what she has said since. Gender nonconforming children (effeminate boys, masculine girls) are disproportionately "ideal candidates" for puberty blockers. Children who are gender nonconforming are roughly 20 times more likely to grow up to be homosexual. A 1998 case study following 111 children given puberty blockers at age 13. Of the 70 patients who became 'ready' to take cross-sex hormones, 69 were homosexual or bisexual and only 1 patient was heterosexual. Scientists followed 139 gender dysphoric boys from 1989-2002 and found that 88% of boys outgrow gender dysphoria by age 20 when left alone. Of those boys, 63.6% turned out to be same-sex attracted. 80-90% of Tavistock patients were same sex attracted. Studies show children who grow up to be LGB were 98% more likely to follow onto cross sex hormones after being given puberty blockers. The sequence of puberty blockers > cross sex hormones results in sterility 100% of the time, as well as underdeveloped genitals and sexual function. Essentially homosexual people are disproportionately "eligible" for a process that results in sterility, genital disfigurement and absence/loss of sexual function. If it was a different group pushing this (say, conservatives) it would be considered a homosexual genocide and every commenter in this thread would be taking the exact opposite stance. Homophobic belief systems/practices will always be on the wrong side of history.
  5. Either pop or country-pop, like all her other albums
  6. This thread will be very interesting to look back on in 10 years or so
  7. Because Madonna has a passion for (and authentic connection to) house music whereas the other song is a caricature created for the sole purpose of pandering to a cynical (homophobic) idea of what house music is. Really it's an insult to LMs music taste, and the fact they're defending the song with their lives makes it all the more embarrassing and sad.
  8. I would listen if it was original material and modernising the genre, presented as an actual era. But basic covers of ancient standards with their original arrangements doesn't interest me in the slightest. It kinda feels like Trisha Paytas cosplay where her audience just accepts that she will keep doing it because she loves it, but no one asked for it or would care if she stopped.
  9. Madonna referencing her own 90s music = Rain on Me?
  10. Very true But comparing the discographies of 80s-90s artists (Madonna, Janet, Kylie, Mariah, Beyonce, Britney) to the best of the 00s-10s (Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus) there is a clear winner. And 2020s is just horrendous.
  11. My comment said nothing about Gaga's vocal ability. But for the record the general consensus is that Gaga's singing is what makes Runway so bad. Plenty viral tweets saying it should've been a Doechii solo track. 'Pure talent' is subjective, lets ask the audience:
  12. Yeah, it's Gaga's voice doing that on Runway, not AI
  13. This feels significantly quieter than Madonna and Gaga were, but hoping she gets 2.6m
  14. 8/10 Madonna's vocal delivery is a bit too weird and the second verse rhyming scheme pisses me off Still an undeniable hit
  15. She would probably resort to reheating her 2010 edm nachos
  16. Madonna, the one and only queen of pop
  17. My ranking changes every time I do it but alas 1. American Life Flawless and skipless for my personal taste 2. Ray of Light Never got into Skin or To Have... but the other 11 tracks are masterpieces 3. Music Masterpieces again but dragged down by Runaway Lover 4. Madame X If you get it you get, if you don't you don't. 5. Bedtime Stories Masterpieces but 3 filler tracks 6. Like a Prayer Dated production style hinders it's true potential but the artistry is undeniable 7. Erotica Incredible as a body of work but each of the individual songs don't really stand to the other albums 8. Hard Candy 0 masterpieces but a cohesive album if you're in the mood for it 9. Confessions on a Dance Floor Good but painfully overrated. Another one you need to be in the mood for. 10. True Blue Awful album tracks, saved by the earth shattering classic singles 11. Rebel Heart Used to place this a lot higher but the atrocious mixing/mastering ages it more every time I revisit it. Bloated and messy. 12. MDNA Atrocious mixing/mastering again but also soulless. Saved by a few mid highlights. 13. Like a Virgin Good singles, poor album tracks 14. Madonna Less good singles, also poor album tracks 15. I'm Breathless Mid all round. A few unlistenables. I can see Confessions II debuting at #4
  18. Lemonade at the time, but in hindsight Renaissance and NOT Cowboy Carter
