the confessions II film (along with the video from yung lean) are objectively very strong and deserve recognition. the other two you mentioned are very typical standard pop videos and only have strong viewing numbers due to their massive promo and fans. if we go by your rules only Olivia and Shakira and Taylor should be nominated for everything and no one else would have a chance

is it, really? Certifications have changed over the years. You don't need as many sold albums to get certifications these days. It was super hard to get platinum back in the day. Monsters always use certifications, make comparisons that make no sense, and they don't look at the actual sales.

Madonna's tours have always had incredibly obscure, innovative, and creative sections.. that's what makes her so different in the pop/mainstream landscape. Drowned World, Re-Invention, the "Live to Tell" moment on Confessions, most of MDNA (including the Basque and Gregorian singers taking part in 1/3rd of the show), and especially Madame X, which is almost David Byrne-esque but with fado, Portuguese musicians and singers, Cape Verdean women, and the Batukadeiras. Even the Erotica section of Celebration fits that tradition. (though it's probably her least obscure tour in a while)

(for reference, the Rolling Stones are almost out of the top 100 on billboard after two weeks)
