i'm loving this era so far. To me, it feels like she's fully embracing the music and that's her main priority this time around whereas on past albums she was trying to succeed, commercially, more than anything. Without label support but yeah that's out of her control. Idk it just feels like she's in a happy place where she feels secure enough to make the music she wants to and it lead to great stuff. At first I was bummed at the change of direction for the album since I loved Destiny and the idea of her exploring the psychedelic dream pop realm. After listening to this and hearing the Spotify snippet I am, once again, very excited for this era. Black Prada Dress is a great showcase of her abilities to make a well crafted pop song with identity, vulnerability and great atmosphere. It's epic and anthemic in the best way. She does know too much

Yeah, I kind of believe the constant viralization of her more commercial songs like Hate Me and Close To Me definitely affect the direction of her albums. Have that be by label's choice or because she believes that's what the GP wants from her I did enjoy HTH a lot so if we get more of that I don't mind, but I do hope that eventually we go back to a more folktronica or dream pop sound. Some of her leaked sessions gave me hope we might get another Fighter Plane one day
