  1. It's been almost a decade since Witness marked a significant turning point in Katy's career, and what a journey it's been ever since. How should she celebrate? Anniversary tour? A deluxe edition? Bon Appétit (10 minute version)? Roulette (feat. Lizzo)? Discuss.
  2. Yes and change her stage name back to Katy Hudson
  3. Wait, they could also ask Katy, now that she has a connection to Canada. Maybe throw in a canadian collaborator with her. Not like she has anything better lined up for her.
  4. Probably a khia, like Nelly Furtado or Alessia Cara
  5. Could a Lizzo remix of Watch It Burn give Katy the hit she's been chasing since Prism? Could Lizzo be exactly the feature Katy needs to finally get the GP's attention again? Discuss.
  6. It probably would be a massive failure, but she has nothing left to lose so why not
  7. A lot of Gaga hate discourse around Die With a Smile boils down to one claim: it wasn't Gaga's win, it was Bruno Mars doing the heavy lifting. The idea being that Bruno's presence alone guarantees radio, streams, and a hit. But if we take that argument at face value, it opens the door to another question: could Bruno do the same for Katy Perry? Katy hasn't lacked visibility, but translating that into an actual hit has been the problem. Would a Bruno feature be enough to cut through skepticism, unlock streaming success and radio support and remind the GP she can still compete? Or would it expose that a "Bruno boost" only works when everything else is already aligned? If Bruno really is the common denominator behind hits, Katy seems like the ultimate test case.
  8. Ever since Witness, Smile, 143, and now Bandaids, it feels like Katy's commercial momentum has been steadily evaporating. The critical reception hasn't been kinder. So here's the question: Would a Christmas album actually be a smart move at this point? On one hand, it's a textbook "my career needs life support" pivot. On the other, holiday albums are basically evergreen streaming machines, and Katy's camp hasn't proprely tried leaning into seasonal branding. Could a Christmas record boost her streaming numbers? Reinvent her image? Or would it just cement the "post-peak flop artist" discourse? Discuss.
  9. I mean she could try. Maybe doing CCM could feel rewarding for her, but she sure isn't gonna find commercial success in that
  10. Katy's post-Witness output hasn't exactly been smooth. Smile came and went, 143 didn't spark the comeback some expected, and 'bandaids' is looking underwhelming on streaming. And yet… She keeps going. New music, new aesthetics, new attempts to reconnect with audiences who moved on years ago. She doesn't disappear, she doesn't rebrand into something "serious," she doesn't give up. She just… keeps trying. So… do you admire Katy Perry's resilience? Discuss.
  11. A new path to underperforming maybe
  12. At this point, is acting Katy's best chance at staying relevant? The GP has stopped caring about the music. Could Hollywood save her? Discuss.
  13. Numbers are in: 'bandaids' is lukewarm at best. Is it the song, the brand, the market or something else entirely? And moreover were you surprised? Discuss.
  14. If she had a good ballad with great staging she might have a chance, but knowing her she would go full camp with the perfomance thus landing in the bottom 5 with the juries so no.
  15. Is Katy intentionally leaning so hard into campy energy now so that if a song flops she can just shrug it off and say it wasn't meant to be taken seriously? Every music video feels like a built-in excuse. Is she even capable of releasing truly serious, "Unconditionally" or "The One That Got Away"-style music videos anymore? Or is this just genuinely who she's become? Discuss.
  16. Carly's the only one with real artistry and acclaim. Katy peaked ages ago and Meghan… . Not sure why this is even being asked.
  17. So… is the name "Katy Perry" too weighed down by flop baggage now? Would going back to Katy Hudson be the clean slate she needs? Discuss.
  18. Her reaction on her IG story
  19. I kinda wish I would've listened to the song without the video first since the cringe ass video lowered my first impression of the song as well
  20. The teaser lowkey gives me AI-generated vibes and it seems to be as chaotic as Woman's World.
  21. I mean if the song is excellent it isn't enough to "bring her to the top". It will probably take years and many excellent releases to repair her image
  22. Bandaids covering the bruises on my name, Every headline feels exactly like a flame, I know I'm strong but it all hurts just the same, Bandaids, bandaids, yeah, I claim the blame.
