Hurt is their best song in a minute, definitely in the trilogy of the best they've ever recorded. Argue with the wall x

'A New Icona Pop Era': How the Swedish Hitmakers Started...

Icona Pop, the Swedish pop duo behind hits like 'I Love It,' talk about the heartbreak, grief, and reinvention behind their new album, 'Ritual'

Loved the last album, the lead on this isn't hitting for me but I am sure the album will have some bops

It also will most likely contain a Tove Lo co-written song named "Didn't Mean It Like That", which was written together with Tim Nelson

It is somehow sad to read that Aino is having some dark moments in her life and Caroline is going through a divorce. Hopefully, they could heal with the music

Ugh, "Yellow Top" better be the next single, it's quite hawtttt.

"One hand under my yellow top

Two hands, give me all you got

Wet dreams if you close your eyes

Back to the city by the beach".

as a fan since 2012, this is really good.

mad love actually brought back so many memories, it's probably their most OG sounding track in forever.

good job girlies!

Looking forward listening to this. Hopefully there will be a Deluxe in the works

Hurt - It's cool for an intro track, but I don't see myself coming back to it.
Cooler - This is very Icona Pop (2012) coded but cleaner and more elevated! Love it!
Mad Love - This is even MORE Icona Pop (2012) coded, like this literally could be a demo from that album! I like it but I'm still deciding whether I want to save it to my Icona Pop playlist...
Didn't Mean It Like That - Pre-chorus is very promising but it kinda doesn't go anywhere interesting. Skip for me I fear.
Never Over - This feels incredibly dated idk. Not for me, nope!
Foreverness - One of the best songs in their entire discography oh wow oh wow! SOTY contender! LOOOVE!

So I definitely like 6-7 of the songs from the 10 track album and that's definitely good on my books, it's their strongest project to date I think clap3

The album is like an elevated, more mellow(ish) version for their debut album, I liked Club Romantech just fine but it didn't really feel like.. them, in a way. So this was a step up sonically for sure, it feels more like the Icona Pop I enjoyed from the beginning. With that said, it was missing a BIG moment, like a big huge dancey shouty energetic smash bop like Ready For The Weekend but sadly we didn't get that, not really.

Top 3 for me is definitely Foreverness, Butterfly Feelings and Dance To This.
