Also digital content can be preserve too (but only if you are a tech savvy person of course, it requires some skills so not everyone will have the ability to), but I couldn't care less to do that. Many of the arguments here are collection and I totally understand that and I also love that, and I personally love collect CDs of music that I like and represents me too, and also love to support artist that I like. But if one day, my digital music contents taken away from me (I guess my old iTunes music catalog or my Nintendo Switch games in this case?), I don't think it will affect me much, tho I don't buy movie digitally, I assume those who be affected by the most. And of course I am also speaking on my own personal behalf, others have the rights to be mad or fear about their digital contents being taken away. If that's the case, I would suggest purchasing the physical editions of the contents, and if the content doesn't have physical, simply don't buy it to protest the digital culture.
