Madonna - 'CONFESSIONS II'
Yes. Cut out Illuminati and Holy Water. Relegate Unap ***** and Iconic to bonus tracks and absorb Messiah and Rebel Heart into standard tracklist. Rebel Heart and WAOM are the Avicii versions of course. Switch out Body Shop for VVV on the standard. And that's an album with 12 songs that falls just outside top 5 in Madonna's discography imo, instead of the lower regions it now occupies on most people's ranking. But back to CII: I've been A Belle Du Jour Can you blame me Can you blame me I've read Marquis De Sade Do you know it Did you like it I tried to find my way In unfamiliar faces I looked for love In unexpected places This is kinda the best bridge of the year

I'll always maintain the sample work on BYL is fantastic like it just floats over the beat perfectly, a quintessential breezy summer smash Fully agree

Tinashe's new song interpolates Chillin' by Wale and Gaga
That explains why it's the worst song on Popstar

What would be your tracklist for a sequel to Madonna's Something To Remember?
Some people here are forgetting Messiah and I won't stand for it

Tinashe - 'Popstar'
The intro to Sunglasses immediately had me hooked, really enjoyed the rest of the song too. Empty Stadium and Brainrot....easily two of the most sonically engrossing songs to have come out this yar

Underrated songs from the Bubblegum Pop era

Dua on Bizarre would be amaaazing. And need Nelly on School.- Madonna - 'CONFESSIONS II'
I dunno how to feel about the Charli XCX remix. I don't think she fits on Danceteria which feels super personal to Madonna and I think it hurts the pristine image this album has right now. Would've liked to have her on Everything instead- Tinashe - 'Popstar'
Fires & Flames really is a god-tier ballad. And the title track Joyride and Stuck With Me still go off IMO shorter song lengths are definitely being imposed by labels on artists so they can get as many single-LP vinyl variants pressed as they know that's where a fanbase will likely splurge for an album release, and of course also for the streaming algos or whatever. It sucks but I feel like it's a compromise many artists have to go through right now with streaming dominance and vinyl being a semi-lucrative sales tactic again- Tinashe - 'Popstar'
Been having a Tinashe video night and honestly I'm just in awe again of how many excellent videos she's delivered on an indie budget, she's a legend I'd Rather Be Alone is the one so far And I'm still gonna need Energy on streaming- Madonna - 'CONFESSIONS II'
Homegirl at the very start completely ate that...she had 5 seconds and wanted to make history- Troye Sivan - "Party"
As always he gets upstaged so badly by his dancer (boyfriend?) in his videos lol He just doesn't have it and got lucky with a few notable producers giving him surprisingly strong material the past few years- Madonna - CONFESSIONS II - The Album Survivor - SEMIFINAL (pg. 39)
SAVE Love Without Words OFF I Feel So Free- Fontaines D.C. - 'Dopamine Chamber'
Marianne is really doing it for me rn I pre-ordered the alternate cover 2LP- Madonna - 'CONFESSIONS II'
I think it's time to test the waters with Bizarre at the VMAs tbh And yeah I don't think she's touring this record either, which is a damn shame because a tour centered on COAD/CII material would be instantly goated. But she might feel like she can't do the material justice in her current body- Who deserves to win Best Dance Pop Recording in 2027?
