Dua's team: "Judge us in two years"
SCREAMING at the double miss Ya I think they wanted a long era like 1989, FN, Planet Her, etc. Dua definitely didn't flop, but I think they had bigger goals than this. Glad Training Season got a second chance though.

Did ADÉLA swipe Doja's nachos with "Nicole Kidman"?
Ya there's definitely some Juicy in there as well I don't see 7 Rings at all. Only a hint of Fake Smile.

Did ADÉLA swipe Doja's nachos with "Nicole Kidman"?
We all know Doja Cat went a bit off script with her latest album Vie, and the era experienced a major decline in commercial success compared to Planet Her. I think Adela came in with "Nicole Kidman" and kinda double dipped in Doja's nachos. The song's got the old school sample ala Paint the Town Red, the female celebrity reference similar to Tia Tamera, the soft-spoken delivery akin to Say So / You Right, and a very atmospheric production like a lot of Planet Her. Obviously Adela doesn't have the rap moment, but there are some wordy, staccato bits. To me, the song is very Doja Cat coded mixed with a pinch of Ariana. We have no choice but to stan. What do you think? Doja needs to get her lick back asap.

Ella Langley exposed for being a deer hunter
A lot of states have legal (and state encouraged) deer hunting seasons because the deer population is too high otherwise sadly. A good number of people deer hunt, but there are rules and limits. And yes a lot of people do freeze the parts and eat the meat.

Best iPhone 18 color?
Luckily my family still has our ATT family plan. It's expensive but decent value person since there's a bunch of us on it. On the higher end plans, you can trade in any of the last 4 generations of iPhones in any working condition and get monthly credits over 3 years that cover the cost. So im on a 3 year upgrade cycle. I'm trading my 15 Pro for an 18 Pro. If you want higher storage or the Pro Max, you pay the extra $100+ or whatever the cost difference is since the monthly credits cover the base Pro iphone. Otherwise ya, people just lease their phone monthly I think with money they don't have.

Are streaming services killing new music? Or is new music just bad?
I do love some indie artists. I was just commentating at the most mainstream music being streamed.

Are streaming services killing new music? Or is new music just bad?
Tell me why I looked at the top songs on Spotify and the majority of the top tracks are ancient... I love me some Iris and viral throwbacks, but this is crazy: https://kworb.net/spotify/country/global_daily.html Iris has been parked in the top 20 for ages, outlasting a trend's cycle. Beauty and a Beat is up there since Coachella. The One That Got Away is literally a top song despite Katy's new music making 0 noise. Sweater Weather must be on a loop in a streaming farm because it's up there year round even in the summer. Training Season is doing better than its initial chart run, but at least this is recent-ish and having an actual viral trend. Even Shawn ******* Mendes is #23 with Treat You Better when he basically retired to become a yoga instructor. Is new music that terrible that old music is outlasting it and never falling out of the charts? I think that's part of it,. But also, are these sold catalogs causing some sort of payola situation where the new holders are pushing the music they bought to come out ahead of these investments? Are people trapped in nostalgia playlists which feature the same songs depending on the playlist like 90s hits or 2010s throwbacks? What is going on. This seems more dire than ever. We were worried about AI killing new music but it seems the GP has already done that themselves.

Oh the Xtina haters are finally seeing the light. P!nk was always over the top and nasty. Weird person.

H100: Ella #1(x21) about to end Mariah
As long as another Christmas song doesn't snatch AIWFCIY, Mariah should reclaim eventually? Unless AIWFCIY starts to wind down for being too popular every Christmas and another song takes its annual place for a bit. The scary thing is Ella is like 100+ points ahead of #2, so she could stay up there for even more weeks. Taylor finally got some payola'd airplay (she's massively ahead of the rest of the top 10 there) and yet IKIIKY is still not even close to #1 yikes.
