Ella Langley boot-scoots her way to first UK Number 1 with Choosin' Texas

Ella Langley has officially chosen Number 1.

Choosin' Texas boot-scoots two places to lasso the top spot, earning the Alabama-born country star her first-ever UK chart-topper - and, naturally, a new career-best in the process.

Not Ella #1 lol you still have people on Twitter saying it's bots in the us and radio etc etc and now #1 in the uk

This is craaazy.

Bring back Sam and Olivia

Ella has now reached #1 in the US , Canada, Australia, New Zealand , Ireland and now the UK. happy to see Sienna Spiro at #2 . hopefully she can get at least a week at #1.

Country music has grown a lot in popularity in the UK. This would be unheard of a few years ago

Shakira's Dai Dai couldn't go #1 but this does? UK, I am disgusted

A country female artist reaching #1 here is so incredibly difficult and rare. This is such an impressive feat, I'm going to give it to her.

It doesn't take a crystal ball to see…

I would rather have Sam and Olivia #1 for 40 weeks than for Stella to even get close to the Top 5, feel like pure **** just want them back x

MTE

You used to need a pop remix (like Love Story and Shania's songs) to crack the top 10 as a country artist.

Something changed in 2024 with Texas Hold 'Em, Bar Song, Austin, I Had Some Help and Taylor's (country) catalog smashing.

This is the first song by a country artist to go #1 since Stand By Your Man in the 70s I believe, very impressive.
