I think this is one thing that this hazel eyes era has taught me: to cherish things outside of public opinion.

My love for this album only gets stronger each passing day. I hold this era to my heart 'cause it means a lot to see a complex depiction of queer love.

Also, Capitol Records did a piss poor job of actually promoting the Album.

In * maincountry? Oh woooow thats sooo sad

why hes not in the same conversation as lizzo and people mocked her for helping but she was never peaked high as sam smith lmao

@nooniebao

Capitol Records wanted Sam Smith to release a more energetic pop album but Sam insisted on Hazel Eyes's acoustic soundscape, therefore the label flat out didn't support it.

This is also the reason SS6 will not be too far away being an more electro pop direction, the label can remain happy after ******* over Sam & the Hazel eyes era.

It has cute tracks but for me the production is overall a bit too guitar driven (acoustic) country sounding. I kinda wished more buttery soul/blues/jazz (rnb) influenced soundscape ala Etta James, Dorothy Moore. If to compare something recent, The Art of Loving, Juniper, Crysalis, Naturally etc. but with Sam's twist.

Been watching Yellowstone again and this album sounds very Montana Dutton ranch esque

Glad Sam ain't beating a dead horse with Hazel Eyes it was an album clearly not made with a mainstream mindset and that's why it's one of my favorites out of their discography,

Sam is making their sixth album at this moment.

Did he even push a Lead for this album? I know he pre released a few songs but it wasn't lead?

Radio didn't support it at all, aside a slight push for oh mother in the uk

everytime Constant Companion is on shuffle, i fall in love with it over and over again.
