Anxiety, despite having shaped to becoming her biggest hit sort of killed the momentum of reverence going on for her. For many listeners like me, she was introduced to us with her EP which was a fantastic and compelling body of work; but Anxiety was Doechii's introduction to millions of more people who saw her as a joke although she was just being hailed as one of the most promising female rap artists at the time, even being co-signed by the Kendrick Lamar. Which makes me feel bad for her because she only released the song because her fans and some of the public were demanding for its release, only to turn on her back and make her the butt of joke of Tik Toks/reels lambasting this song whenever it came on the radio instead of Somebody You Used To Know.

I still think she's got it, though. It's just been silent after the heavy backlash that followed 'Anxiety' and I think her next release will definitely come up on people's radars if she plays her cards right.

no anxiety was never supposed to be the lead, it was an old song that went viral and she added it to the mixtape to take advantage of those streams, but she would have never made that old song she made randomly her lead. The sza collab sounded like a buzz single to me, she was addressing the public and the critics but it wasn't mainstream/catchy and didn't give single at all
