She should stick to being an EDM hook singer, given the incredible number of hits she has. And nothing's wrong with that, she already has so many HITS.

Underperformed is putting it lightly dd. But I agree it deserved better.

I like Demi but the main problem with her is that she lacks a musical identity. She's always all over the place musically so it's hard to lock down an audience.

An Xtina tea

She has had a hit and a half throughout her entire career

The better question is not what went wrong because it has mostly gone wrong, but what went right for that very brief moment of success

Underperform?

It performed as I expected it to.

'Underperform' is a very generous term

it's not that deep hun

Demi has no identity whatsoever, which led to this massive bomb throughout the years.

Fast was a cute song, but she just seems to jump from one aesthetic to another & from one sound to another, without ever having a clear image of who she is and what she sings. Same case with Miley, they both relied on their massive Disney following in their early career, but people grew up and they eventually ran out of people to care for them.

No identity & no established fanbase does that to you.

everyone been doing that kinda sound that after Demi got on the bandwagon it was getting stale.

I need another Holy **** from her

Some people just weren't ready for that level of slayage.
