Velocidade is a cute gurl as a song, but KAWASAKI clears in all aspects and should've been promoted more.

As someone who has watched the reality tv show of the same name based on which they were formed, lemme give my opinion of the members selected:

  • Kawe (Brazil, 18yo) - he is the main pop girl of the group - best vocalist and second best dancer. He also has that 'model' look and could've spined into being the visual, but I fear Hybe hates when a member wears to many hats.

  • Alejandro (Peru, 22yo) - he has zero star presence and looks the most pedestrian TO ME, but I will give Miss Ale something - he can deliver a pop vocal when is needed. He has the biggest fanbase and his fans insist he is the visual (rip) and center of the group. How can you be the center when you're not even a good dancer?? He is also the member I feel who is most prone and enjoys to do fanservice and queerbaiting

  • Drew (USA, mexican-american, 26yo) - the hottest and only openly gay MALE idol working at Hybe clap3. I'll always acknowledge how c*nty it was that he was the oldest member in the competition, couldn't speak Spanish, openly gay, had a mini evil edit and STILL made it in the group. Some of the Spanish speaking gworls on twitter were pressedT during the competition as he had previous ties with Hybe and connections in the industry (back-up dancer for BTS, J-Hope, Karol G, Nayeon, Adela etc.) but he has by far the best stage presence and dancing ability across the 5 members (and overall 17 contestants) of the group. Any payola he received, was well worth it. He's also a professional choreographer. clap3.

  • Kenneth (Mexico, 16yo) - he is the youngest of the group and you can immediately clock it by his face. He basically got the perfect edit across the competition, without being payola-ed too much. He is a solid vocalist (for kpop standards) and has great presence and energy in their songs and performances.

  • Gabi (Puerto Rico, 20yo) - they definitely tried to make him the Manon of the show as he was introduced later in the competition and had a striking visual (blonde hair, blue eyes rip) which no other contestant had. The problem was that his edit was too lowkey, not once was he praised for 'star quality' (correctly so, cuz, unlike Alejandro, who doesn't have it, sometimes Gabi dips into negative stage presence). Vocally, in the competition, he's all over the place. He's had some of the worst sounding vocals during their evaluations but his audition was truly great. From his audition, it was mess after mess. They didn't give him enough payola and good editing in the show and as a result he has kinda the lowest number of followers on socialsrip He has some good vocal moments, but he' more of a studio vocalist.giraffe

I remember fans of the show being extremely pressed he had made it over guys like Pabloriah Carey & Iannis Sheeran. I was not mad because those two hotties were competing with miss FADlejandro for a spot, not Gabi. I will say he is the most humorous/funny of the 5 (you would've never guessed it from his edit) and is always a kii to hear him speak. He's also the hottest along with Drew, and I wouldn't kick either of them out of my bedWAP

You're doing too much against Ale. Although I didn't care for him much during 0%, all of a sudden when I saw him on that stage when they started their festivals booking I was hooked.

I lowkey am... When I watched the show, I was a Pablo stan THROUGH AND THROUGH. He had good vocals. natural sex-appeal & could have served us queerbaiting excellenceducky (he has 1 credit as an actor where he plays a queer character and I thot he and Drew had strong, more-than-brothers chemistry in that radio interview they did together).

So I was pressed that he wasn't in the group and kinda took it on Ale cuz' as I said, I'm of the opinion that they always wanted Gabi to be in the group so Pablo & Ale were competing for the same spot.

Still I don't think I lashed Ale as hard as I did Gabi. But I will never forget how entertaining Gabi's introduction in episode 4 of the show was (first 4 minutes and 15 seconds)

The dramatic music.

Drew refusing to gag over Gabi's entrance to his face and in confessionals.

Pablo going from slightly neutral to stank face (outside and in the shared bedroom space).

Alex trying to be congenial in his confessional but you could see the fear in his eyes. Priano shaking in his boots. Kaue being the only person genuinely gagging in a non-negative way.

Iannis panic wide smile next to Luigi & Diego looking like they've seen a bomb. Diego's shady confessional - "I hope he doesn't feel like a replacement"

Pablo & Drew being the only ones not shown hugging/greeting Gabi and giving him the subtle stank eye when everyone was attempting to look interested in his little speech.

Drew & Alex whispering in the background and looking at Luigi interrogating Gabilakitu

This kinda was the most entertaining non-performance part of the whole show. This felt kinda like the closest we got to having a conflict between the guys.

Well now it IS base, thanks for the idea.

Girl THANK you for this effort post, luv that read.

You made several points about Kawasaki. I like what they're promoting now but Kawasaki deserved a lot of attention.

I have not finished the reality show yet, but I've seen most live performances and a bunch of interviews, so lemme give my 2 cents.

Kawe - Kween! A natural talent, great dancer and vocalist. He also has stage presence for days.

Alejandro - I get your drags but he seems to have a big fanbase and is getting better at performing from what I've seen. He is an appropriate asset in a boy group. Also can sing stably well.

Drew - A slayful queen. His vocals are improving and what a CENTER. You really cannot say nothing about his performing skills and dancing. He got the face and the body.

Kenneth - My god his vocals are angelic. Youthful and charming, it feels like you're watching a little brother and you're cheering for him. He will be a lethal force as he becomes of age, and will only improve. I also love that you can tell he's a child star because he works the camera OUT and knows his facial expressions and angles lmao I love it. Icon. He will be so popular.

Gabi - God truly has favorites, the face card and body card are insane. I usually don't find blondes charming but he has such lovable energy. He can be cute when needed and serve SEX appeal when needed. I also love his high testosterone vocals lol easily recognizable tone. He is lowkey my favorite in interviews, charisma for DAYS and I reckon he will get better. Also, isn't his dancing so powerful? So much energy.

Their haters will fume as they will 100% get bigger

Who gives you the most gay-tea aside from Drew?

It's Kawe for me katie2

15 minutes ago, hétérosexuelle said:

My reading is as it follows:

I exclude Kenneth. He doesn't give me any type of tea in any direction nor do I feel comfortable to make guesses.

Gabi is definitely the most str8 to me. He gives me the first to have a **** pic/s*x tape leaked in the future AND the first to hook up with a fan. No tea, no shade.

Ale gives me str8 as well, but most willing to do any type of fanservice, including gay business performance. I can see him being the first to have 'revealed'/'leaked' to have a longterm gf.

Kaue technically pings me the most aside from Drew, but eye feel like a lot of it might be confirmation bias from me and other fans. He did say in his first intro in the competition that he wants to leave the world a better place for his children and eventual grandchildren, which doesn't mean he's necessarily str8 but doesn't mean he isn't either lol.

Have you watched the reality tv show competition / documentary on how the group was formed? Several people were pinging me, aside from Drew:

Luigi - overtly religious closeted DL vibes

Diego - Jessica (the Hybe talent development woman) said he was the only 1 who genuinely follows k-pop and who was a big fan of Lesserafim. Drew also cried a lot when Diego had to leave the competition, and they were apparently really close.

Priano - maybe he is just 'fashionable', but he def. pinged me a lot

Alex (from Spain) - I thot he was a fkboy in the beginning and I'm leaning towards metrosexual, but he was blessed with a severe case of gayface

Pablo - he didn't ping me in the beginning, but I watched clips of his acting in that show where his character had a love story with a guy and their kissing was a little tew believable for it to be the first time he kissed a guy. He was also apparently really good friends with Drew (according to their radio interview during the show) and used to go to long walks at night and in the morning together while they were in the program (even though on the show they barely had any interactions, so maybe the chemistry was a little too strong)coffee

===============================================================================================

Speaking of Drew, I find it always a kii how he continuously referred to either members of the group and other contestants as 'brothers' over and over and over again. Giving gay guy trying to prevent any romance rumors before they start.

Can we talk what a mess this MV was?

This is their introductory song to the world, and we have extras getting solo shots in the MV before all the members.coffee2

They had Ale and Drew play extras for the first half of it.rip

But the song itself is a bop though.
