It depends how his contract is structured. With some (guess whose ) you have to deliver a minimum amount of songs per 'era' (as an album, EPs, droplets, whatever) but only after 10 months post-the last release of that minimum does the next period begin where you can again deliver the minimum amount of songs to move to the next. So if you released three albums simultaneously it would only count as one.
