To add to this, Selena is doing 6.9M with 181 tracks whereas Demi is doing 4.8M with 321 tracks. There's no comparison here.

Most of Selena's biggest hits are collabs and the Scene is excluded

It is kind of remarkable that, even though Selena was far ahead of Demi in terms of hits -and especially streams- throughout their post-Disney careers, they are now pretty much on the same level in recurrent stats.

Selena, despite having more hits, more collabs (with much bigger artists) and far stronger playlist and radio support, currently only has one "solo" song pulling over 500k (and it's an old song from The Scene days that she barely considers hers) and even that is being outstreamed by Cool for the Summer. Her other big hits (mostly collabs) that amassed over a billion streamd during their run, are mostly getting lukewarm daily streams now, falling under CFTS and Heart Attack. All except for the song with Charlie Puth - who is also outstreaming her by the way.

That's all kind of crazy because for a long time she was considered a near-MPG, following right behind Ariana (and even ahead of Miley), but now that the dust has settled and the radio/TTH residency has dried up and the social media power has shifted to serving her make-up brand, it kind of seems like most of her music catalogue was... fodder of its time.

Okay, so let's put aside the fact that this isn't even true and acknowledge that Charlie Puth is in the thick of an album campaign right now. He's released six singles over the past 5 months and has an album coming out in six days... and he's still a smidge behind Selena in terms of daily streams and nowhere near her when accounting for her Selena Gomez & the Scene streams.

I'll also add that Selena and Demi aren't on the same level but that's obvious. I'm sure you know that too. One of them sold 120K copies of their last album on opening week, the other sold 31K. One of them charted 7 songs off of their last album, the other did not have any chart entries. Not only are their recurrent stats not comparable (let's not pretend CFTS isn't being carried by TikTok and massive recurrent playlisting), their current stats aren't comparable either.

That's because of Selena's husband's stench. Therefore, people are gravitating towards other Disney Channel stars such as Demi Lovato, Hilary Duff, Sabrina Carpenter, and Miley Cyrus.
