Starting to fear it got pushed back until March 20th... which sucks cuz I've already been wearing the snippet OUTTTT for a full month now and can't take the wait any longer. However, they'll definitely benefit from increased pre-saves and likely a few thousand more TikTok videos under the sound before release, because it's really starting to gain some momentum on there and twitter.

Tho personally I feel like a viral TikTok snippet benefits the song more once the song is actually out instead of just using it to draw pre-hype, because then anyone who hears it on their fyp and likes it can immediately go stream it, whereas having to wait might cause some people to end up forgetting about the release date once their brain becomes flooded with 23948293 new things on their for you page in just the following 24 hours alone. Hate how much labels prioritize first day streams over what could lead to more stable legs

But I digress, cuz they have a bonafide summer SMASH on their hands that is gonna be huge for them regardless, so I'll wait another week if the additional pre-hype is what will convince their label to finally payola one of their singles

Today Jorja tweeted something along the lines of "There could only be one reason for why we pushed it back..." and now I'm curious if they added a feature. I'd hope it remains solo cuz I see it smashing for them without the need for any other name attached, but they already mentioned how sickening the music video for it is a month or so ago so I doubt that's what she's referring to; unless she is referring to that, despite it already being finished, just as an excuse so fans don't get as mad

Maybe they got a live performance booked for the new release week?

Imagine if they're either opening for PCD on their upcoming arena tour and delayed it another week to coincide with that tour announcement, or actually added PCD as a feature omg now THAT would be a GAG

Tho if they already filmed the video then I don't think any feature would make sense, but maybe they'll have a feature remix ready upon first week release? Idk I'm just going crazy over the wait and scrambling for anything that'll make the delay really justified lmao
