Aint her highest 2020s song Daisies sitting 200M+?

sabrina

let's pray for her to finally get a 2020s HIT. Even Meghan Trainor did it

sabrina

Pretty sure it's still her quality dance hit When I'm Gone which I'm pretty sure is over 300M.

Ms. Perry has been successful this decade, even though the chart positions have been terrible the overall streams have been fine outside 143.

Katy grossed more in Australia alone than Meghan's entire last tour, there is no comparison

Shape of a Woman SUCKS ahh

Her voice sounds so grating here Jesus

Glamorous Life is kinda worse. The title had me expecting something chic and stylish, but then it's just more generic Gaga power-ballad slop. I know she fished this out of Mayhem's recycling bin. Would slot in perfectly next to Blade of Grass (derogatory).

Glamorous Life is another Gaga Classic Ballad

Not someone saying ARTPOP is Gaga's worst when Joanne, Chromatica, and even Mayhem exist laugh

Her top three are ARTPOP, Born This Way, and The Fame Monster.

This is objective truth

We don't want to hear her honking on the piano ever again. Only bops from here on out.

Just finishing Glamorous Life and it's even more boring. And when did her voice get so shrill at the top of the belting range? rip

All these sound like throwaways from the Mayhem sessions….

So messy tbh

I'm not strong enough to withstand ArtBible lashings on this fine afternoon, @sunbathinganimal see what happens when you manifest this sort of energy

Artpop is not a good album, but it is an endearing one. Messy, interesting, self-destructive. Something like Dope is bad, but in, like, a fascinating sort of way. As opposed to something like Plastic Doll, which is bad in a... "oh, she's totally checked out of this" kind of way.

And that's sincerely Ciara.

ARTPOP Ball is one tour I do regret not seeing as well; her whole visual aesthetics during that era is peak Gag worship2

Truly her Witness era, appreciated by the stanbase but under appreciated by the gee pee weeps

I hate how Demi is so overlooked. Her album and deluxe definitely stomps on Taylor, Harry, Bruno's albums

Even better than BRAT

If this is in reference to me

  1. I am not a transphobe or MAGA

  2. Your fanbase is the one that used "Tr*nnyGa" and "Manga" for years so glass houses

  3. I'm not siding with the video, just crazy what they said rip

I would never say bad things for you. Our friendly stan banter is just that.

Not Sheila E having a classic called The Glamorous Life, which was interpolated perfectly by Addison Rae on Fame Is a Gun ... then Gaga s***s out another one of her slop ballads in the movie soundtrack that's supposed to SuRvv CuNNttt rip

Taste will always differ, but this is what makes it a good album to me. To me, it's an album about failure, an album that wants to be theoretically serious about pop while trying to communicate through the limitations of pop itself. It's not an easy listen, but that jarring vacillation between maximalism and fragility with a wall of EDM sounds and the rawness of her voice being so dominant in the mix really scratches my mind in a way few pop albums have ever done.

Love the post, even if I disagree heart The album is compelling because of a lot of things you mentioned, I just don't think the raw songcraft is there on a lot of the tunes. One of my fave moments on Artsypop is the bridge on Donatella - when the nasty EDM cuts out for a brief moment and she's just wailing like a banshee (complementary!) over those gentle strings. Whew, that's chills! ...But then the rest of the song is pretty bad (those verses!!!!) skull

It's kind of her Bionic: so much passion and vision pumped into a project that's (imo) a failure. But a failure that's fun to run post-mortems on and sink your teeth into. heart2

I'm obsessed with Speed Demon and Liberian Girl by MJ

I never properly listened to Bad from front to back.
