I remember my father giving me a literal stick carved from a big branch for me to play with (as a sword) and I still remember that stick so fondly. Used to go the backyard and pretend to be all sorts of things. That's the kind of simple carefree life I want. Just a dude happy with his stick, pretending to be a wizard or something, maybe while listening to some music while at it.

I also kind of miss the limited amount of media I was able to consume. You had the TV, you had the radio and whatever your friends/family were interested in/recommended you/gifted you. Now it's all so much, even though the incredibly journey of getting your hands on your own computer with an internet connection and the subsequent adventures into broadening your horizons (and piracy shhhh) was amazing too. Kinda sad though, I miss the "culture" around the TV and radio and the importance both had in your everyday life. The computer/smartphone devouring that all is kinda depressing.

Anyway glorious early 2000s pop-rock from Finland.
