Fun fact: Mayhem came out during the worst period of my life, like I'm talking BAD bad, so I waited until two weeks after it was released to listen to it so I wouldn't associate it with bad memories. Which worked, but I did listen to Garden of Eden on album release day to see if it would cheer me up. It didn't, but since I had already spoiled it for myself I played it on repeat nonstop to try and get my mind off things.

So now I DO associate Garden of Eden with the worst period of my life and it's incredibly triggering every time it comes on. I am trying to desensitize myself to it but I want to cry every time I hear "go get your friends and meet me on the floor" which is kind of hilarious. But yeah, it's a bop but also my least played Mayhem song. I'm probably the only person who can claim that

Then you also have Beyoncé releasing next year, Adele is rumored to be working on something, and I'm sure someone's going to blow up between now and August. I hope music for any new album isn't released until after the Grammy period closes next year.

Would be cute if TDD got a filler Dance Pop Recording nom, since it would mean all the singles got nominated and be the most she's gotten for an album (currently tied with TFM & ASIB)

Yes. Though not in album categories assuming there wouldn't be enough new material to be considered a new album (which is what happened to SZA and why people wanted LANA to be released as a standalone). I think the requirement is either 50% of 75% new material. LANA was 19 new songs on top of 23 SOS songs, so less than 50% new of the total 42 songs.
