I'm kind of seeing the vision now. She's never really been one for the theatrics (a theatré queen she is not...) but it is nice we got some cute (curtain) visuals and pyro.

The show is mostly showcasing the bright girly glam Hilary (and juuust a tinge of her cvnty brunette persona that comes out during Play With Fire ) but the "true" Hilary is the one in an oversized tee just singing on the couch, so I can appreciate that segment.

The show wasn't much different from the small rooms tour aside from a few setlist changes

I lost it when she played play with fire and that probably my favorite performance of the night due to the special effects the song sounds amazing live I wonder if a re recording is coming

the show has backdrop videos which show Hilary life but I think it maybe a teaser of what will be in the docuseries

In the section I was in it seemed like they didn't know the luck or something songs someone next to me even commented they never heard these songs before

I thought we would have gotten a surprise guest since it was the first show but there was none

I was expecting a different show since I've seen the small rooms tour so many times online but it was still great to finally see Hilary

I do hope the setlist changes during the tour run

yes! id like to think so too. but the docuseries better be out soon then. imagine showing those clips as interludes across almost 6 months of live shows - only to be regurgitated as the docuseries.

glad you enjoyed the show! altho i do agree that it puts my mood off abit when im at concerts and i hear the person next to me not knowing so-and-so song. like gurl, learn the discog first please?

The only two things I didn't like were most of the outfits (minus the bedazzled top and the oversized tee), I just wish they would have found somebody to designed outfits that she could wear every night, just like they did for the Dignity tour.

And also I was expecting Stranger, The Getaway and The Optimist to make the setlist, but I know the songs will be rotating throughout the whole tour, so we'll see!

Her outfits weren't great either my favorite one was the last outfit she wore for what dreams are made of

But she changes outfits throughout the tour as small rooms had several outfit changes

@broolprop3 can correct me if I'm wrong, but I noticed the visuals didn't necessarily set up a specific song (except for maybe BIBO?). Maybe this was intentional so they can easily swap/add songs to the setlist without making the existing visuals uncohesive

This is pretty common when I saw the Jonas brothers no one knew any of the songs

From the album 2023 it's like people only go for the songs they like

I think so too … I think the set list will definitely change later on in the tour

I feel like those visuals are meant to tease the docuseries that coming cause a lot of it was showing stuff Hilary did recently

I also hope it means the tour will be filmed professionally and released with the docuseries

The tour kinda reminded me of 2003-2005 hilary concert just Hilary with a band

I had the metamorphosis tour on dvd and it was just Hilary with a band and like no costume changes or dancers

I think if she tours again in a few years the production will be bigger now that they seen she is in high demand she will definitely be given a bigger budget

I'm sorry but the "fans" attending the shows who fail to even recognize her new music (which is the whole purpose/theme of the tour) are so cringe. My only hope is that them hearing the new songs live gets them to actually check out the alberm, but they'll likely opt to just stream WDAMO (Disney version) for the millionth time. Like imagine calling someone your favorite artist but only ever acknowledging what they recorded when they were 15/16 years old...

Right this really annoys me too tbh, did you even bother to buy the new record?? It's literally "The Lucky Me Tour" or are they just going for the songs they grew up listening to.

I love Wake Up and I think it's a good opener, but I'm surprised they didn't switch it up. Then again I'm not because it sounds like there are just minor tweaks to the setlist. It's missing The Getaway, Stranger, One In A Million, Holiday(would die to hear that live), Tell Me That Won't Happen.

Also was hoping they would have burned that pink carpet stage, I wonder how it's going to translate in some of the bigger arenas

Why is it that the Dignity tour had such a bigger and better production, and felt more cohesive.

So random maybe it is true they just slapped some docu footage on the curtain and called it a day. At least transition into an oldie like Why Not or ABH...

Although I did see a brief clip of an interlude where she's reciting a poem (?) didn't want to watch too much but that seemed promising. More of that please

I was shook they restocked cause the resell prices on ebay were not it!

I wonder if we'll get any changes to the setlist today. Seeing that she's planning on adding AAY after the 10th show makes me think there will be a lot more surprises planned. I really hope she rotates ABH with other fan favorites and deep cuts from her albums, like Girl Can Rock ,Jericho, Shine, I Am, Break My Heart, No Work All Play, Outside Of You, Tattoo, One In A Million, etc.

And she NEEDS to add Stranger, SWOM and The Getaway as staples.

As much as I love The Getaway (and recognize it as one of her best songs ever), it's time to let it go as well, we had it for 3 consecutive tours.

Would love a medley of SWOM/Brave Heart.

The production looks pretty nice here.
