Idk I think she thought it was a cute shady moment and then quickly realized what she said. She's always been a Mariah stan, but seems like she got caught up in the moment trying to be funny and it came off as weird and rude.

she's socially awkward so I could definitely see it being an innocent slip but it is very ironic looking back on it
