Do you believe in love?

Featured Replies

So there's a guy I like, but tbh lately I find it hard to truly believe in love.

What are your thoughts? Do you truly believe in love or romance?

:clack:

The kind of love where 'the one' should be your 'everything' forever and always? No. It must exist for some, but searching for that is kinda pointless imo. So much expectations and pressure to put on one person!

But I do believe in love. Cause I feel very loved. By my friends, my bf, my family, my colleagues. I believe that's all love. And the love for/from my friends and family may be different from the love I share with romantic partners, but they're not less valuable

I believe in lifelong support, respect, and companionship to master life's challenges together. The initial feeling of "butterflies" or whatever is just hormones to me, enjoyable hormones, but still hormones. It goes away and then it's up to us to keep the flame alive and stand by our decision to go through life with the person we chose.

No, not romantic love. The definition of "love" has been taken too lightly, especially in this generation. "Oh, but I really do love you," he says, while continually scrolling through Grindr and contemplating the thought of an open relationship. Give me a break.

Love is unwavering and unfaltering commitment, faithfulness, loyalty, fidelity and continuous emotional, physical and mental support that defies all odds and obstacles.

I believe in romantic lust, passion, intrigue and interest—not "love."

Yes but I don't believe in a forever lasting love or whatever i think love like anything else in this world is temporary so enjoy it while you can

Put your love to the test. You've got to make them express how they feel and then you'll know if love is real :heart2:

I guess looking back, I definitely don't know how to pick 'em. I have felt love... been married and currently getting divorced. The idea of love is tainted for me right now. I am fine with being by myself. I don't want to worry about another person the way I had to with my marriage. I justifiably lost trust in him over time. I'll make better decisions in the future if a relationship will present itself but I'm not expecting anything to come along.

Well i hate to be that kind of person but we have been taugh to over romantize love and to have almost Disney like standards about it.

I believe love is an experience and that's normal it ends somehow.
