The studio version of this is so much better than the live version. The live version sounds like a cheap Rupaul song but the studio version clicked for me too. Hoping big things for Mel. She deserves it

To be fair, she has mentioned before that she is scared of 'tarnishing' their legacy but I feel like without new music at all, all they are is a nostalgia band, and that sucks... there's so many times you can justify a tour on a large scale without anything new, specially when it comes to a band that has only 3 albums (and they only acknowlege the first two lol)... Plus, it is not like Mel C has put out this incredible body of work throughout the last 20 years... most of it has been mediocre to crap, so...

 

It sucks. But it is the way things are with them for a while...

I can understand you don't like Melanie C but you don't need to keep saying you don't like her music all the time, one post is enough.

I like Holler and Say You'll Be There from the Spice days but otherwise I like everyone's solo music more.

Controversial, but I actually really like Reason. Need a re-release with all the b-sides + Wonderland.

I got to hear it when she was in Australia back in March. I personally feel like it doesn't translate live just going off her mighty hoopla performance of the song. I want this to take off

I'm sorry but we were talking about her career and music weren't we? LOL and I can say it as much as I want to lol It's... not my cup of tea? lol...

 

Ive been a fan for a long long time but a couple of years ago I realised that I was mostly just blindly following her solo career because of the association with the Spice Girls and almost nothing from her or the other girls solo careers - bar a couple of solo albums like Northern Star or Free Me - were really worth wasting my money on.

 

Anyway, I hope this new venture is worth it for her, truly

Honestly it's fascinating to me that some of the Spice Girls fans, at this point pushing 40 (if not 40+), have such a hard time LETTING THINGS GO. 

Grow up. They certainly did. If Mel C doesn't want new music, accept it. If Vicky doesn't want to tour, accept it. If Geri is now the most boring person on earth, accept it. 
 

Being mad at Mel C gets you NOTHING. 

After watching Victoria's Netflix documentary, it's clear that she has no intention of returning to stage. It's okay, I understand her. 

 

And Mel C would surely up to record a new music with the girls, people saying she won't but if you watch her recent interviews she constantly states that she would up for it.

And judging from the copyright on the video, she signed to Virgin Music Group, which is a distributor of independent music. So, she is likely licensing the album through them, via Red Girl. Leigh-Anne from Little Mix is doing the same thing with Virgin Music.

I need a physical release of this for my collection. CDS, vinyls, cassettes etc... We didn't get physicals releases for the self-titled singles, hopefully we could get them this time.

This, we are talking about her career and music as a solo artist. And again I respect you not liking her music but, If you want to talk about the group all the time this is not the right thread.

This German store has leaked the album date.  They have "Sweat" cassette preorder to be released 01.05.2026. Let's go!

A new Spice album would be the best thing EVER but I accepted that will most likely never happen. 

Ready for a new ERA from Melanie C though, love that she continues to put out new music. She has some amazing albums (Northern Star, Beautiful Intentions & The Sea)

The Sea by far being my favorite. 

Excited for this new album hoping for a few bangers like 'Into You' which i was obsessed with when it came out!

Even the albums i don't love as a whole (This Time, Reason, Version of Me) have some gems on them! So excited to see what we get with this next album!

cant wait for her success! she really deserves it
