3QUENCY - "Top Down"

Featured Replies

I was bopping along and then the song just ended. A 2 minute R&B song is a crime. Still they have potential

from a small town cruising through the big city   where the fellas are cute and the girls are pretty

  • It's doing quite well on YouTube so far especially for a new group . The label NEED to send it to radio hopefully that's in the cards .

(In case you need to catch up on why we're here..)

No bridge is criminal, as good as it is they could've really gone full out on a last chorus with a big note and crazy adlibs

there's literally no sense in debuting with a 2 minute song, especially if it was an anticipated debut :deadbanana4:

Wow, with proper push - this could actually smash. Pop, r&b, and urban. Woooooow.

All 3 have got that star quality and charisma effortlessly already . I'm excited for this group the potential is THERE !

LOVE the song and really enjoyed the MV  But totally agree on the lack of bridge comments.  Nonetheless I will be streaming!

They are all HOT but this sounds like some tate mcrae track on her most recent album. They definitely have potential.

This song is fire! But a couple of notes: that girl should lose the audio note on her eyes - it's distracting and singles her out. Also, while their 'Have Mercy' live performance showed real potential, this music video lacked that same energy. I'm excited though - they definitely have the most potential and sound great.

I love this!!

yes it's short but that's another reason to have it on repeat :gaycat2:

Yeah I thought that they didn't have the same spark in the video although there's clear potential there. I am reminded though that this is the their first go at this. They will only get better

I need to fight Tommy Brown though. No bridge is weird. What this needed was a bridge and a big chorus with some big vocals and the song would've hit even more.

I feel like the label is telling  them to tone it down. This is song was cute it missing the energy, uniqueness , and the spark that make 3Quency so special.

I actually really liked this. The song length is absolutely tragic but I'm going to safely assume their overlords had everything to do with that.

Its a solid debut but I agree its missing something. I really enjoyed Soulidified debut tho and keep playing it.

2 mins is a ringtone NOT a song

this with a proper bridge would be a SMASH

Also, the artwork really misses the mark. The font is so ugly, and the photo looks low budget. There were definitely better moments from the video they could've used for the cover.

As for the group, I think Nori has the most star quality. While I do like Brianna's voice, she tends to stand out in a way that disrupts the group's dynamic - she comes across more like a solo artist than a group member. That said, I really do like the song. It has strong replay value. I do wish there had been more choreography in the video, but since this is their debut single, there's plenty of room for growth.

This is begging for a rent-a-rapper remix.

Young Thug needs some extra cash

I need them to get a better creative direction but I'm glad they're going on tour
