Attack on Titan ending has me devastated

Featured Replies

I know I am late but I just finished it tonight and I am SHOOK. I am always bad with anime's coming ot an end. I get that post anime depression syndrom and get gloomy each time (hence why I procrastinate finishing up lots of animes cuz I dont want to be devastated :cries: )...

How are u guys feeling about the ending? I know lots of ppl complained about the ending leading up to me watching it but I genuinly have no complaints. I think it was perfectly executed. My one complaint is maybe they should have shown ONE romantic scene between Eren and Mikasa prior to the rumbling like the night they went to the Turkish Bazar Refugee Camp and got wasted....they could have shown that after she said "he is family to her" that later in the night she took it back and held his hand or something idk...that way the ending would be even more devastating. Though we did get them having their 4 years together via pathway at least...she got to have that at least :'(

anyways what are your thoughts gworls!

I enjoyed it but the end is a bit underwhelming. It's still one of my all time favorite shows.

I remember that Eren dies after killing most of the population on the planet, but I can't remember much of the lead up to that moment, only that Eren's plan basically gave the Marleyans a big "I told you so" moment since everything they had said about the Eldians came true at the end :toofunny3:

I hated it when the manga ended, but by the time the anime ended I learned to like it. I guess I just needed to go through all the stages of grief. :heart2:

The ending was actually really controversial when it just came out in manga because so many Eren fans were fuming that he lost and didn't finish the Rumbling :rip:

After the anime the perception became a lot better

Yes I noticed lots of ppl hated that he didn't complete the rumbling, that he also lost his "cool factor " when he cried during his convo with Armin about Mikasa and that at the end during the credits it seems like Paradis does eventually get obliterated like one thousand years later which means Eren did all that stuff for nothing (according to them) but imo like I feel like those complaints are INSANE and show that these ppl didn't understand Eren's character at all :skull:

the real Eren is the Eren who cried about knowing he'll die alone and losing the chance to have a life with Mikasa ….he was the "sigma king" because he had to not because that's who he truly is…it's so tragic and sad that these ppl didn't get that….additionally the lack of completion of the rumbling is ridiculous since he ended up doing 80% of it which is basically like having done iffy all :skull: plus he always wanted the outcome to be what it ended up being…and the last complaint about Paradis still being annihilated years later is just insane. Eren's action averted the destruction of Paradis for centuries to come …for all we know the later destruction of it could have had nothing to do with the events that occurred during Eren's time and could have been for totally different reasons. It's also a clear commentary on how it is human nature to want to go to war no matter what u do to avoid it (sadly).

I have been debating these ppl on Reddit all day . I'm giving up :'(

I went through the same thing with Evangelion :skull:

As for AoT, i also quite love the ending. It may not be what you hope for, but it was executed nicely and left me satisfied, unlike say, Game of Thrones.

Still floored by the ending, it was as good as it could get and the credits sequence is amazing.

ot: i thought the ending was....okay. some buildup with a romantic scene between them was needed i agree. everyone  had their moment to shine tho. I loved the credits tho. a true gut punch if any :clap3:

The multiverse outcomes of Mikasa and Eren makes me tear up just thinking about it. The ending was perfect imo.
