  1. Her making faces at JLO speaking Spanish will never not be funny
  2. Why is she giving Britney? The heavy dembow beat is so 2000s it makes the song sound like a cheap remix, nowadays the dembow is more subtle. A good example of more modern reggaeton would be something like Bichota.
  3. Shakira can probably do it since she only needs one more decade and still gets high views.
  4. This literally has nothing to do with what I'm saying.
  5. If they don't speak Spanish they just don't have the cultural connection period They can be proud of their heritage but they are not the same as someone from the island culturally. Especially with Puerto Rico being a colony we don't need mono English speakers that claim to be Puerto Rican talking for us and our struggles.
  6. Yeah reading back I'll acknowledge me using the term "real" is not a right choice of words
  7. You didn't answer the question. If an American of Argentinian descent told you "I don't need to know Spanish to be considered a real Argentinian" would you consider them the same as the Argentinians from your country culturally?
  8. I don't consider her a real Latina no.
  9. Obviously Brazilians are also Latino.
  10. I think there's also a distinction between the USA and Latin America in terms of what "Latino" means. In the US it's someone that is from Latin America or has parents from Latin America (regardless if they speak Spanish or Portuguese) whereas in Latin America it's someone from Latin America raised in Latin America (I think).
  11. A girl was talking about how she's Puerto Rican and doesn't need to know Spanish to a part of the culture. I disagreed and said without our language there is a divide so you can't compare yourself to a Spanish speaking puertorican and that ruffled some feathers. I know I may have come across as mean but Latinos of ATRL what do you think of No Sabo kids? Do you think one from your country that lives abroad and doesn't speak the language is considered a "real" Colombian, Cuban, Mexican etc? quick note:This does not include the indigenous people of Latin America since they were there first. I'm speaking about assimilated Americans that still claim the culture of their parents.
  12. Hung up I am so sorry
  13. Lmao if it didn't happen the Soviet Union would have proved it.
  14. I watched the whole thing and she really needs to stop with the overuse of autotune it's not cute
