With all the teasing of the model pics for Gorgeous.  Maybe that will be released Friday (promo single) and then they'll see which song gets the strongest reaction for next commercial single.

 

Just thought that "2" and crossing out of the other songs seems…like it might be suggesting something…but who knows lol.

I mean…maybe lol.  His last album did 89K.  And when he got out of jail, seemed to have a lot of support.

This album is going to be a religious experience. The way im going to stream this all day at work on Friday and all day Saturday/Sunday in general.

Young Thug, Mariah and Doja will all be competing for the top 5 along with sabrina and morgan who are still doing ~100k weekly. Rauw Alejandro is also dropping an album and his last album went top 3 but i think he has less hype for this one. Then you have that kpop soundtrack still doing +120k… it's gonna be a mess. Doja will be lucky to go top 4-5 with 80-90k imo. I know scarlet didn't have physicals but it was carried by a #1 hit, now we have a semi flop lead… so i don't think she will surpass scarlet by much even if she has lots of physicals this time. I don't think she's a pure sales force yet unfortunately so i'm not expecting big numbers

To me it really depends on what moves they make next week.  Which single they're pushing next, level of promo during release week, etc. 

 

Flop single, yes…but the album is Top 2 when it comes to presaves on iTunes and Spotify.  And among top "Pre Adds" for AM. So it's hard to tell.

 

But yeah, I guess the blessing in disguise with Young Thug being the week after Cardi is that Atlantic prob won't go extra hard for a multi week #1 for Cardi.  
 

And Kanye being another wild card.  Love her, but I'm not too worried about Mariah.

everyone and their mother is dropping their album next week LOL. let's just hope for a top 5 debut atp.

 

Gorgeous is an iffy single I wish they handled jealous type better with the rollout like ... rca is a mess.

I forgot about Kanye dropping too  But his last release flopped and i heard this "album" is gonna be an AI album. Tbh i wouldn't count too much on the presaves cause they don't mean much… Ed Sheeran was #1 in presaves behind taylor, Lorde was #1 in presaves in June. They both flopped with less than 15M streams on the first day on spotify and less than 60k on billboard

I think she can still achieve around 100k in all honesty if all goes well on release week. 
 

She's achieved her highest solo debut on Spotify with Jealous Type, so people are still tuned in, and if anything its a good sign that shes converted a lot of TikTok/casual listeners into first day listeners. 
 

Rollout next week is looking positive, physicals seem to be selling well also. I think streams will mirror the same, if not slightly under what Scarlet did (due to PTTR being a monster hit) but I think the audience will be more tuned in to the album itself and we'll see higher numbers for album tracks as a whole and physicals will boost things up by a nice margin.
 

The best possible scenario would be great critic reviews, which will boost interest throughout the week. 
 

Regardless of numbers or performance, I have no doubts this will be my favourite Doja album yet and i'm just so so excited

Yeah this seems to be a frequent occurrence… heck i've experienced an album launch being pushed forward just in spite
