could partially be due to that (some, not all adults) some adults were exposed to the game as a kid.

i was like 9 or 10 when i first played it cos a friend of mine wanted me to play online with her after school all the time. (i remember one time specifically i was on the phone with her (via landline) and i was playing Kesha's Cannibal during one of your playthroughs and she had a kick with the "i'm gonna eat you up" lyric lol)

eventually she grew tired of the game and not too long after that i stopped as well. i did return to it like once or twice in high school to kinda scratch a nostalgia itch i had with one of the mining simulator games in it bit i havent touched it since graduating at all. (off topic but i was listening though Mariah's discography during this time)

im not sure if the ministry of interior will get me if I say this but yes im a user from qatar, theres a few buzzes going around regarding this:

1 - Apparently a kid got themselves harmed over 2 other users on roblox
2- It's down on a telecom company here in Qatar, I use that and it seems to not work, but apparently it does on a different telecom company
