MakeMe Mtv Vma 2016, underrated, why?

She really killed it in this performance. Her dancing was on point. She had brilliant stage presence. She is a legend.

I used to be over critical of this performance but now after knowing everything she's been through in her life and career, I have a new appreciation and respect for it. She did what needed to be done. Her confidence was on 10 this night and that's all that matters to me

VMAS without britney are nothing. Shes an icon forever, a legend. This is one of her best live performances in years. Considering what she has been through and what she delivers you should give her something.

It was a decent performance, but I never cared much for Make Me as a single, let alone the G-eazy feature. Also why did she perform Me, Myself & I when she was never even on the song?

I remember there being a lot of excitement since this was her first VMA performance since 07 but by 2016 the VMAs felt so redundant that this just wasn't it.

It's fine but forgettable. Which most performances are, but if you consider her VMAs track record - the Oops outfit and choreo, the snake, the Madonna kiss, the (infamous) Gimme More fiasco - which are all iconic in their own right - this one just doesn't compare.

The entire era was derailed by the scrapped video, so everything about this song felt underwhelming since then. It was a decent performance.

The performance was mid, the lip sync looked bad, and she performed right after the greatest award show performance of all time. That's like having a sleight of hand magician  follow up Elphaba using magic to give wings to monkeys and then asking why no one is impressed by the magician's card tricks.

The Billboard Music Awards performance overshadowed it, luckily.

Glory era was such a serve and amazing considering what she was going through behind the scenes at the time

Honestly because it had to follow the best award show performance this century :suburban:

Beyonce's Lemonade destroyed her

Same moves, same lipsync :rip:

It was fine

But they put her after Beyonce

And not only that, that performance from Bey is known as the best one of All TIME

Anyone after that would be forgotten

Those Vma's were the last ones that seemed relevant to the public.

While it was a great performance, it just didn't have any iconic qualities about it while all of her previous VMA performances did. I get why they played it safe with this one (as I'm sure the pressure was on to "redeem" the Gimme More performance), but overall it was just kinda...there.

BBMAs 2016>>>>

given her state, mostly the drug dependency her family and team were forcing onto her, it was an ok performance

looking back now it's disappointing to see someone forced to perform like that but this was one of the rare occasions where she seemed to have a little spark interest and/or joy on stage, but it was still all in poor condition

It's because her father was out of the picture for a while then, and Bryan was acting as conservator, they had a good report, that's why she seemed happy and more active pre-Glory and during the era.
