Why Jo O'Meara deserves more recognition
As far as I'm concerned she is still the terribly underrated vocalist from SClub7 who put out a nice solo album of ballads. Jo O'Meara was an adept artist with great potential. Whether in a group or solo, Jo O'Meara's singing talent is undeniable. I love her voice
- Jo "The Voice" O'Meara deserved so much more.

Do you think Taylor Swift is overrated or underrated?
Totally overrated. She is talented, but her work is very repetitive and always has the same cringe theme of "breaking up with a boyfriend". Nothing innovative or out of the box. She is popular because she speaks with the average teenager who consumes pop songs and because she has well-produced albums. I listened to Showgirl and I found the album to simply be ok. The production is good but nothing innovative. Her lyrics are also good but nothing deep, thought provoking, or even something different that what she has sung about before. She's incredibly generic. She is by definition, overrated.

MakeMe Mtv Vma 2016, underrated, why?
She really killed it in this performance. Her dancing was on point. She had brilliant stage presence. She is a legend. I used to be over critical of this performance but now after knowing everything she's been through in her life and career, I have a new appreciation and respect for it. She did what needed to be done. Her confidence was on 10 this night and that's all that matters to me VMAS without britney are nothing. Shes an icon forever, a legend. This is one of her best live performances in years. Considering what she has been through and what she delivers you should give her something.

Janet is the queen of pop. Why?
Janet and Madonna are the reason why we got huge female performers in the pop industry Janet Jackson is definitely dedicated to her music. The woman is a perfectionist. And performs at a high level all the time. Janet is the most influential female artist of all time. Her legacy will forever be etched in the industry.

Is Robbie Williams massively underrated?
Huge fan of Robbie. I find it incredible that Robbie Williams never properly broke America and I'm starting to think that even in europe he's massively underrated. He is one of those artists that most people in the U.K. think they know about but they have barely scratched the surface of his output. He is wildly misunderstood as a person and very underrated as a song writer. Most Brits vastly underestimate how popular he is internationally. He is very talented, charming and real. He's had his struggles and came out the other end.

Is Britney Spears the last cultural zeitgeist mega-superstar?
Britney Spears is easily the most iconic popstar of the last 25 years
-
Lady Gaga - "Disease"
Love the production and the vocal delivery. I'm hoping the song grows on me, but the lyrics and melody kind of feel a bit half-baked to me. Fingers crossed I just need a few more listens to love it. I don't like it. I know hardcore fans will but I don't think this will be playing around everywhere I go.

Why Katy Perry's comeback has gone so wrong
Katy could take some time like Mariah, find her "classic" sound again

Is Britney Spears the last cultural zeitgeist mega-superstar?
Britney Spears is easily the most iconic popstar of the last 25 years and I truly think she is probably the last popstar who really had a zeitgest-y mono-cultural "moment" around her in the way that Michael Jackson and Madonna did. No other celebrity (especially actors and athletes) had that kinda of power. She paved the way for Mandy Moore, XTina, and the current pop girls today such as Ariana Grande & Miley Cyrus. A lot of the pop girls of today have been influenced by her career and public image in some way imo, whether they realize it or not (like Taylor Swift). People throw "cultural reset" jokingly now, but Baby One More Time was LITERALLY a cultural reset and changed the music industry forever. Britney's legacy on the landscape of entertainment is still prominent after 24 years, no other pop star today can say the same. Everyone knew who she was, she created such a global storm comparable to MJ & Madonna. Baby One More Time is the 38th best selling album of all time… in world history. She's on the list with the likes of Madonna, Michael Jackson, U2, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Elton John, and Bruce Springsteen. None of your faves can say that other than Adele. Britney is a WORLDWIDE artist and Bieber/Gaga aren't a household these countries, not in the way that Britney is.

Best & worst female hits of 2024
Die with a Smile, overrated. Fortnight, very boring and gray song. Birds Of A Feather, song of pure gold. Please Please, beautiful melody. Texas Hold 'Em, repetitive, plagiarism We Can't Be Friends , Ariana is still in the comfort zone.

M2M, new album... Managing our expectations
I think that it would be great to have live performances and reunions with fans. I'd also like to have a re edition of both albums with some new songs or a box set containing a re edition of SOP and TBR, an acoustic album, b sides, new songs and a book with unrealased photos. I'm not sure about having a new album, but let's see what happens next.

Britney's influence and legacy
Britney's influence and legacy on modern teenage popstars is immense. Miley Cyrus, Tate, Ariana Grande, etc. Literally everyone owes something to her, she's legendary for sure. You have to accept that Britney's legacy is already made and will pass from generation to generation. She has to return to what she loves which is music in her own terms not in that grueling schedule she had, she can do it now

Is Gaga's discography overrated?
Nobody defines gaga's discography as a masterpiece, she's not hugely acclaimed or praised by the heavens...her discography is certainly not perfect. I think her discography may appear "overrated" because so much of her "consensus greatest work" is concentrated in the first 3 years of her career, while she's been in the industry now for close to 15 years. I think her discography is not her strongest suit. I know every word to all her songs, and love listening to her albums but honestly I think she could have created higher quality and timeless lyrics and compositions, delve into subjects at a deeper level as a musician, with more cutting productions…at the price of less commercialization. There's no doubt in my mind that the first 3 albums are better than the latter 3 albums . TF, TFM, and BTW are just far more consistent, cohesive, creative, and forward-thinking than AP, Joanne, and Chromatica

Why Katy Perry's comeback has gone so wrong
It will be better not to talk too much about this album because it was already trashed by critics and the general public, it will be no different here. But in my honest opinion this album is a 2/10. The songs are very short and the sound feels generic, though not unbearable as they say. The lyricism if too weak and predictable. I feel like Mariah Carey's career is a good example of how a flop could go about. After the disaster that was Glitter, she tried to come back with Charmbracelet, which was a very safe and easy-listening album, kind of like what 143 is trying to do. But that album also flopped and wasn't able to bring her back to her usual success. So she took another hiatus of about 3 years to come back with Emancipation, an album with a more urban and hiphop sound that she used to be known for in the late 90s, kind of back to the roots, and it shot her back to stardom. Katy could take some time like Mariah, find her "classic" sound again, and do something rocky and acoustic like One of the Boys. Then maybe she could have a chance to get back to the top.

Shakira having a solo hit in 2024, surprised?
Soltera is a bad song, with mediocre production and empty lyrics. She lost the muse of inspiration a long time ago Shakira is a very weak artist, very overrated.

M2M, new album... Managing our expectations
With the M2M reunion in place on such a meaningful date, it may be the time for us to wonder what is next for M2M. A new album with new songs? With all the nostalgic memories from our youth, it might get easy to expect too much in terms of how we will like Marit's and Marion's new style. Both grew up a lot and changed. If they write new songs, it will also have to be a fusion of both their musical tastes. What are your expectations? Will a new album, if it comes out, be a natural evolution from M2M's previous work? Is it even possible tp predict which overall theme they will go with?
