So, in hindsight Taylor always had the possibility (and money) to buy back her masters. Yet, she decided to play the victim and manipulate her stans and some casual fans into buying (multiple versions) of her re-recordings. This was also a total cleanse of her image, giving her a rootable factor and pushing her popularity to new heights, filling her pockets with overpriced tour tickets and unnecessary variants.

What are your thoughts? Did she play a trick on swifties? Personally, I think she did, and I don't feel bad for them.

Thanks for the faux concern for the stans of someone you don't like though

What is this BS, the entire reason for making the remakes is so she could buy her masters without being extorted.

Swifties should be extremely proud of themselves, you are an artists dream fan base.

Yes

Taylena coming for my ass

The concept of the Eras Tour came from the revisiting of her old albums and eras.  It's been the best time being a fan of hers over the past few years. I personally have only ever bought one Taylor Swift related product (Fearless CD in 2009) so I can't say I've been scammed, I've really enjoyed the nostalgia and witnessing the critical re-appraisal of those 4 albums.

Taylor made it very clear that she was offered her masters but Scooter would still profit from them, that's why the re-recordings happened in the first place. The ensuing success gave her leverage to negotiate a better (and fairer) deal.

I know you weren't looking for a serious discussion anyway but make it less obvious next time
