Most physically demanding tours

Featured Replies

What do you think are some of the most physically challenging pop shows you've seen?

The first tour that comes to mind will always be Madonna's S&S for me. (Honorable mentions to Drowned and MDNA)

In hindsight, that stage was absolutely insane  she was running up and down stairs while still wearing her death heels on top of heavy choreo. No wonder her hip gave out on that tour

MDNA if we considering the overall view of the tour. My show in particular though... she skipped the whole first section (the most physically demanding) :sabrina:

So probably Sticky & Sweet.

Mess :rip: What happened? I've never heard of an artist taking out the entire first act and still going on with the show

Madonna's last few tours

The Eras Tour

I love Taylor but she's not a dancer. I'd even say the rep tour was more impressive than Eras in terms of choreo. The tour was obviously demanding in other ways such as the sheer magnitude of the staging and the 3.5 hour lengths, but I think it's a disservice to the girls who dance all night and swing from the ceilings to say Eras was anywhere near as physically demanding.

Taylor can be the best/most successful in a lot of categories but I think even she would proudly agree that this is not one of them.
