ok I heard it as a standalone out of the tracklist, I think its position ruins it for me

ellie's pen on this album... she just wrote classic after classic

 

I wasn't a big fan of their previous work but the singles for the clearing were such smashes so i had to hear the record

 

oh wow this pure rock excellence

This ended up being pretty good actually  Turns out only the lead was a massive misstep. It's probably still their least memorable album, but there are a few huge highlights, they remain very consistent

I think the album turned out really great. Bloom Baby Bloom really sticks out like a sore thumb on this album though. It just wasn't the right lead for the album, but I get that they wanted to do something new.
