This song was so weird at first, but I can't stop listening and jamming out to it now.

They knew what they were doing with this release.

You either get it or you don't — and I love the bold move... They gave us something completely different from the SIS era. Instead of playing it safe and dropping a track the fans were guaranteed to l

  • Well...they looked really good!

Even though this statement is far from true (Lara writes and produces in her free time, Megan also iirc) what kind of next level creative genius input do you expect from a survival show group? :skull: They were picked for being performers and that's what they're doing and doing it well. It was Popstar Academy, not A&Rs + Songwriters Academy :dies:

Idk anything about them or where they came from nor do I care lol I just watched the music video bc I saw the song being used in reels & shorts. I just saw a bunch of girls of different racial identities so as there's a little bit for everyone, spitting cringy internet lingo lyrics while the video was uploaded from a Korean I believe record label's channel but their wiki says that they're based in the US :rip:

The fact they're giving the impression of a kpop group but with the intentional inclusion of non-Asian girls is off-putting to me. If the members were childhood friends who're just doing their thing, sure, no problem. It's the intention behind their creation that's a complete turnoff. There's nothing organic or artistic about that.

So you don't know anything but came in the thread to complain like you do :skull: - they were created in partnership between a Korean and American record label (HYBE & Geffen) for the purpose of a group with K-Pop creation/training methodology and appeal but marketed for global audiences. Also Sophia, Megan, Lara, and Yoonchae are all Asian (Filipino, Chinese, Indian, and Korean respectively) which is 80% of the group so I'm not sure what you're getting at there.

Also why does it matter how they were formed :skull: a lot of very successful groups met as strangers in a competition format and these girls actually have a lot of great chemistry with each other which you can see develop throughout their BTS content from pre-debut to now. It seems you just don't care for the music and are taking it as an opportunity to hate on the girls themselves which is like... very strange

What is this uber-manufactured piece of garbage? :deadbanana2: I'm sure the whole creation process of this "group" would make a great Black Mirror episode. You can just tell that these girls are robots with zero creative input and will. Bless them.

you're not gonna get it the first time, boo

after 2nd and 3rd time you gonna be like "wow, what is this-"

it sounds nothing like anything else that's on the radio right now
