Wait, why do we hate Carrie? I like her. I don’t like her MAGA’d husband, but her albums are usually good.

She's an anti-vaxxer that was liking and re-posting antivax/antimask posts by the Gov of Tennessee/her husband/the virulently homophobic/racist Matt Walsh. I know her fans try to wave this **** off and say she doesn't have to agree with her husband blah blah blah, but no one is staying married to something THAT far-right and doesn't agree with at least some of their stances.

She's trash (and honestly I think her music is **** either way) and I don't think we should mention her in a base for someone exponentially more talented and empathetic. :gaycat4:

But I think Carrie never shaded her though?

It's just fanbase war

@Steve Johnson I know where you heard that five years rules but I don't think it can be applied on Taylor but I don't know. I' surprised that Billboard didn't say anything about Taylor's rerecords otherwise we don't have any confusion right now.

Red TV doesn’t contain 75% of newly recorded material so it wouldn’t be eligible. :noparty:

hey guys sorry to bother but do y'all think taylor's next tour will be the folkmore tour? she has to do one:jonny5:

she's in the same boat as him and made multiple remarks in the past year which proved that

A folkmore tour won’t be good in a arena or stadium type of venue. Those songs are more suitable for an intimate theater tour type of setting.

Her next tour would likely be a greatest hits type of tour to celebrate the re-recordings.

Mess, I forgot she liked those posts. :toofunny3:

Anyway, back on topic:

Tbh I could see Taylor doing two tours when she does decide to tour again. A stadium tour for the re-recordings + hits + (possibly) TS10, and then a smaller, more intimate theatre tour for folklore + evermore. I can see the stadium tour being regular length date wise obviously, but the smaller one being just a handful of shows, maybe not even a month’s worth, either before or after the stadium tour. She has to know the fans want to hear folkmore live in some capacity. :michael:

I could see her interspersing them throughout the regular tour, like when she's in a city (only certain cities though, of course) she'd play the stadium and then play a theatre immediately after before moving on. A Gaga Enigma vs. Jazz and Piano tease :gaycat6:

The competition for tickets to the stadium dates will be hell enough, I can't imagine what it'd be like to compete with millions of swifties for a few thousand tickets to a few theatre dates :deadbanana4:

Honestly I'm still convinced that the only thing she'll actually be gunning for at the Grammys next year is SOTY for All Too Well TVTMV, which is entirely new :gaycat6:

out of curiosity, in light of the songwriter grammy, people who have written multiple songs on a taylor album w/o producing or performing, since 2010:

There was also an article stating that to be eligible for SOTY that the song had to written within the past 5 years. If true she of kept quiet and not mention that she wrote the 10 minute version during a tour rehearsal for Speak Now :gaycat6:

The billboard article posted on the prior page mentioned 75% of newly recorded “previously unreleased songs”

“To be eligible for Grammy Award consideration, an album must contain greater than 75 percent playing time of newly recorded (within five years of the release date), previously unreleased recordings. The previous eligibility rule was 50 percent.

Long Form Music Video seems to be our only hope.  :gaycat6:

I’m confuse. :gaycat6: The only unreleased recordings are the vault tracks? Or is the entire album consider unreleased recordings because of the re-recorded vocals?

This most likely refers to droplets, there's a lot of artists who keep releasing songs but never released a whole album. So when they officially release it, they tend to add those droplets into the parent album. But I don't know I'm confused af.
