Terrible cover art  Also this rollout has been going on for over six months, Sirens was released last September! Total mess. I actually liked With Love From but this album is seeming a lot blander. 

I might just be dumb, but what does the album title even mean? What is a silver deliverer?

Long story short, a deliverer in this context is someone or something that saves you from a difficult time (stemming from the word deliverance). They appended the silver adjective to it because Aly's midwife who delivered her baby had silver hair and they thought it sounded nice. The title track to them is about angels but you can make it about whatever or whoever you want. Hopefully they elaborate on it around release, though.

I typically don't care about cover art but that is literally atrocious 

i loved With Love From but i hope they do comeback to Symptom of Your Touch/Listen!!! type of excellence too.

WIFL is better than most of WLF and the new one is okay but neither of them get me particularly excited for this album. sorry to rant a bit but idk why they're allergic to giving fans what they want, they HAVE to notice the lack of interest in the new music. they were really on their way back to something special with Ten Years/Sanctuary/ATOTB and they wasted all their hype by pivoting sounds into this drab campfire americana thing. I've attended all their tours post-comeback and WFL was such a boring show because the few bangers on the setlist were redone to reflect the new sound and you could tell the audience just was not vibing. I guess it's good for them that they're making the stuff they want to make but they could at least throw a few synths on there since that's what the majority of fans they have left are looking for  

Honestly, I might use the artwork of "What It Feels Like" instead of the original, I do like the colors on that one.

They're too boring for pop fans and their brand of country americana indie **** is too shallow for enjoyers of that genre to even look their way so it's a lose - lose situation. This stubborn need to steer away from anything catchy cause they have to be taken seriously!!!!!!!11 honestly killed any chance at a legit comeback. Even at the level of sustainable-alt pop-niche fanbase they were getting close to with A Touch Of The Beat.

Couldn't agree more. Honestly, they come off as stubborn and a bit arrogant. I absolutely believe artists should stay true to what they're passionate about, but it wouldn't hurt to actually listen to their fans once in a while. It's not even just about the whole synth debate—a touch of the beat proved they can create something that isn't pop-heavy and still make a stunning record.

regarding No One and Michelle, it'd be disingenuous if they said something on her passing if they actually didn't know her. i wouldn't either. it was just nice to see how much people appreciated the music and how it resonated with them even after all these years.

No one was asking for a heartfelt essay about Michelle. A simple #RIP would've done as this is literally the only reason No One had a momentum. But it's just my own opinion of course.

It's not an album to dance to, it's an album to get lost in when you're in a different headspace. If you're not high listening to it, it's a waste.

The song was trending because of her death and they would have not made that TikTok otherwise. They were quite literally capitalizing off of her untimely demise. A simple #RIPMichelle acknowledgement in the caption would have at least preserved some of their tact, made the video appear to have been done in a tributary way, and does not require you to know the person to say.

Doubling down on "Well, we didn't know her!!" does not make anything better...It shows a conscious decision to ignore the circumstances of the song being viral and withhold paying their respects. Had anyone with any relevancy to their name done this, they would have been rightfully set ablaze for it online.

The cognitive dissonance involved in labeling a performative eulogy as the 'most distasteful' thing someone could do in this situation when Aly & AJ themselves were also fishing for attention off of this - in ways that could benefit them monetarily, mind you - is impressive. And, people going along with it, regurgitating their spin on things word for word, even more impressive.

I was reluctant to listen to their folky americana western country influenced songs at first but some of them have haunting beautiful instrumentals and  i dont know. As an adult i just connect to that type of music now.
So i really like them...
But yes. I feel like the best for Aly Aj would be to move from this. Is not gettin them too much attention. 
Its a bit sad cause looks like they really live-love for that sonic direction.
Here for this album as their last folky project. Ready for it tho. Loved the lead single*

We had synthpop records and country ones.
I think it would be great if they explore pop rock-pop punk again with an edgier modern touch
Have they talked about their synthpop eras? 
Touch of the beat is one of the best records from this decade. It would be dissapointing if they hate that style of music

Im a big fan of them but i dont know too much about them. So im not aware of their influences or stuff behind the music im curious about their music career. mistakes and their vision for the future. It must be hardcore to sustain a long term fanbase

They came so "sensitive" when it comes to them almost dying in a shooting and going all in for people dying or whatever, people they didn't know. 

But when it comes to Michelle dying... which is connected to one of their most well known songs, this just comes so unsensitive and VERY BITCHY.

 

Slowly this girls are making me feel like I should stop being their fan and stop giving them money, they don't even care about fans anymore. #Justice4Sanctuary

Whatever sound "The Distance" was is the sound they should be striving for. That song is absolutely stunning.
