Kesha - '.'

thats because it was last minute and rushed. i feel like both kesha and charli aren't that satisfied with the end result of the remix.

I thought the remix was great. If it were rushed, Charli's fault for not reading the room.

It was def rushed. Charli had a deadline for when her remix album had to be released. Kesha's remix wasn't finished by that time. Hence why it originally wasn't part of the remix album.

Lol, this speculation. What probably happened was Charli had it all finished and talked to Kesha at that one party they were both at and decided to do it last second for fun.

I think a Kesha remix wasn't planned originally, but they ultimately felt forced to record one because so many people kept asking: "Where is the Kesha remix?" due to the picture of that truck which seemingly teased a collab of them :skull:.

im glad that we got it though. Keshas part was so good imo.

though if they decide to go back and change it and quietly replace the audio on streaming, power to them :cm:

BOY CRAZY is obviously the next single, on pride month, right before the album and with a MV.

I would love for this to be true but I fear it doesn't make much sense the more I think about it.

imagine if the next single is cathedral lol

I visit different pop forums and Everyone is beggin her for a strong electro banger.
Something very synthy and in the animal-brat line
Boycrazy with a good MV would be fire.
I know MVS dont help the songs that much today but i think theyre such an iconic part of an album release.
Like these new chappel roan songs. Havin no video is definitely stalling their potential and power* in the charts
MVS' are expensive and Joyride didnt look cheap at all* What if all the budget went to that???? hope not...but it helped the song to be more iconic
We need her tours to do well so she's able to afford great things for her music-visuals and more :gaycat4:So lets support her LIVE*

People put too much weight on her charts positions when Kesha is in an independent label
If she were in a major label she would be far bigger and get better promo-playlisting.
I honestly think she's doin great for someone without the backup of those major labels and with a career damaged by long gaps*
After such a traumatizing experience u get why she wanna stay independent*
Only thing i would like to be different from this era is

1. i think this would be a great alternative album cover

tCV6saI.jpeg

2. I want a deluxe album to come later.
The album is too short. We need more songs :giraffe:

The first line of your post is the problem here. What pop stans on music forums want is usually not in line with what the GP cares for.

Look at Slayyyter's "STARFUCKER." That record is full of smash hits yet it barely registered with the GP. 143 has a handful of electro bangers with Crush and Lifetimes. No movement from GP. Again, brat was a one-off and wouldn't have gone anywhere unless she got Billie/Lorde on those remixes. Von Dutch had been out for months before the album and made no noise outside of stan twitter and "people who get it." Mayhem's strongest performing single is a power ballad, and Abracadabra played into nostalgia nicely but it's kinda bombing in the US after a few cute streaming weeks. The best performing single from Renaissance was a disco-funk track, not one of the stronger "club" bangers.

It's obvious she's trying to appeal to the GeePee whether we like it or not. I hope it pays out in dividends for her. If not it will be kinda sad but whatever :michael:

I really don't think BOY CRAZY would be a hit outside of the stan twitter niche. Sure it would get her some clout amongst the gays but I don't think she's really looking for that right now. Nobody checks for MV's anymore, unfortunately, unless they're an event like Sabrina's "Taste" with Jenna Ortega.

I'm neutral on this because I honestly believe it's plain stupid to judge what songs should or shouldn't be singles without having heard the whole album. It never makes sense and is often drastically wrong (example: "She should release Tonight as single!" :skull:).

Regardless, you definitely made points. I think what we've heard from Boy Crazy so far sounds phenomenal, but let's be real: nobody knows what's gonna be a hit and what isn't.

Also it's hilarious how we're going back and forth between "She needs to release something more accessible and mainstream!" pre-Yippee to "She needs to release Boy Crazy to cater towards her core audience!" post-Yippee again.

Plays into what I said a while ago re/ there never being a consensus on anything she does/should do ("Enough with the heavy stuff, bring fun Kesha back!" —> "We want more Rainbow and Gag Order").

Yes!

The problem is that her idea of accessible pop music is dated and subpar stuff like Raising Hell and Yippee. It's delusional to think that the GP will care about songs like this and it's even more delusional if she thinks this is what her fans want.

It's not a coincidence that Joyride was her most successful song in almost a decade because it's the perfect intersection between accessible and fan-service.

This era is so messy! Is the budget 1000$? Why haven't we gotten a music video or performances for nothing yet :deadbanana4:
