You've got to earn the spot to make your mark. Sleeping with a rich man isn't earning the spot and then to deliver a blah performance on top of that? Nah she ain't happening in the USA. 

If vocal talent was as important to y'all as it seems to be in this thread, half of the girls you stan would be working at Wendy's.

 

It was a strange decision and I personally wouldn't have done it had I been her, but it is what it is. A not great misstep. Sh*t happens.

 

The discourse about her sleeping with a man to earn her spot is genuinely weird as hell and inaccurate, though. Kinda sucks to see it here, but hey.

I haven't seen hate but the moment she lipped it was obvious she was gonna get dragged.

I love Lisa but i do think that putting her to perform at the Oscars was so... random and obviously bc of the right connections. It wasn't the right song for her either. Rosé would make more "sense" since she had a monster hit with Apt (and is a better singer) but even for her it would feel a lil weird and out of place.

It really was. I like Lisa but I got such secondhand embarrassment for her up there. Like gur, this is the Academy Awards, not the VMAs. You don't lip-sync or even do backing track there
