Why does it feel like her recent releases have all been surrounded by tragic events? Chromatica was completely ruined by Covid and now as she's about to release her new album, LA is burning to the ground. I'm sure there are many more examples but I need your help with that as my memory sucks and I cba to look them up.

Why is this happening? Is Gaga cursed?

  • Ffff only fad stans would make these tragic events about their faves

  • Yep, the killing of George Floyd literally happened during the release week of ROM and messed up the entire rollout. They went from nonstop tweets and stories to complete radio silence

Not really but if she was then others wish they were as cursed as her tbfh

i mean she's literally starting off 2025 with a #1 smash

no she's not and these fires are nowhere near covid level in terms of impact

Yep, the killing of George Floyd literally happened during the release week of ROM and messed up the entire rollout. They went from nonstop tweets and stories to complete radio silence :chick3:

i really wish y'all stopped talking about this, it comes across as really insensitive...

Truthfully, she simply doesn't care, and her team is incompetent, and instead of striking while the iron is hot + stars align; they (and Gaga) instead delay & push things back until they are forced to release them, usually due to the pressure of fans and these disasters.

She's very talented, however, which makes her lucky in other ways. Look at her having the biggest song of recent times without lifting a finger; other girls could never.

it's because y'all don't know the 'regina casé curse' in brazil

Gaga is not the center of the universe. Literally millions of people died during COVID, it didn't happen because of Chromatica and it's kind of insulting and insensitive to center a popstar album when natural disasters are happening.

Confirmation bias, and an insensitive one at that

Lives lost, thousands of homes burned to the ground, people lost everything but "who cares". This is sociopathic, the fires aren't even out yet.

Well no. She clearly makes horrible decitions and is only sucessfull when she lets somebody else take control

the rightwing keeps winning because of this virtue signaling of the left, y'all don't hesitate to show the whole world that your moral values are superior at any given chance :dies:

Caring about a natural disaster that literally leveled an entire area is not virtue signalling and if you find yourself unable to care about thousands of people seeing their homes burned to the ground, maybe you should look within yourself and find why that is instead of lashing out. It's so weird having to defend basic empathy but I forget that this is ATRL where people routinely dehumanize popstars for sport.

Didn't Trump win the first time when Joanne was released too?

It does feel like it always happens around her eras, mind you other things happened when she wasn't in an era. I guess it's worse for Gaga cause she has positioned herself as a philanthropist since 2011 so she's tied into things. I remember instead of promoting Chromatica she did a 'kind mask' challenge, and then they did perfume and Oreo deals for the promo. What a time!

sorry i confused the terms, i meant Moral Grandstanding. the point im trying to make is that nobody is inquiring in this topic what is morally good or bad, yet you decide to chime in and add your moral values and criticize others by making a comparison. often targeted at individuals. i bolded the parts that apply the most

OT: yes gaga yes curse :clap3:

The initial post I quoted said "who cares" about people losing literally everything. Famous or not, have you considered what it must be like to be running for your life and wondering if you will ever see your home again? Maybe you should try that instead of taking issue with "woke" or whatever it is you do.
